I’ve worked on a few UKEF-backed financings – this is completely within the remit of what the fund what set up for. Whether it’s green or not depends on your viewpoint, greener than a massive drilling operation, obviously less green than solar/wind/hydro.

I’ve never been depressed or suicidal but I can appreciate how easy it is to get into it and feel that way. Guys, there’s so much out there for you to find you just need help or someone to get there. If you’re ever in East London/Essex hit me up and we’ll go ride, just for fun and no greater purpose than that.

Always on the look out for the next car – thinking Panamera at the mo, unpopular choice. Before the climate change activists get in, I’m in London and drive 20 miles a week.

M135i here – great car, traction is terrible though, any time you put your foot down a light comes up on the dash warning you that you have no traction!

Fantastic otherwise, good mpg on long journeys with the 8sp auto and pokey around town.

i3s do not look good, but at least they’re not as pedestrian as a Model 3. I couldn’t spend sizeable money on something that has no emotion in it whatsoever.

Also wouldn’t have an EV anyway as I’m not bought in to the hype, but that’s for another thread.

Loved BB on the whole (some rubbish in seasons 2 and 3) and re-watched all 5 seasons about a month ago.

El Camino was poor. As above, a stretched out episode and a dull one at that.

Yep banned in London, have been fined near home before not realising, having moved from the Mids.

    Best joke of this thread.

Same as above, did this last year and stayed.

Chaps, I know there are a lot of eco-warrior, fk Tory it’s a posh boys club types on here. But this is advancement and it needs to be done – I’ve seen enough seminars to know the power isn’t there and it won’t be made by 200 windmills off Scarborough coast.

Every big infra project ever will overrun. You guys needs context, billions is bugger all.

The FOMO is strong in Wall St at the moment. They’ll get burned again soon enough and we’ll all have to pick up the pieces (Again).

Ben’s smashed it. I work in the industry and if one made a splash and I missed, it’d be me on the block.

That being said, this is a dud.

I get why people are outraged by the whole palm oil thing, but I think people need to think more broadly. The problem isn’t palm oil, it’s consumption. If we boycott palm oil it will just be replaced by something else that likely has a similar impact on the environment.

Nothing useful to add, but I’ve never bought a door before but I’m keen to replace mine. Can’t believe how expensive they are for a nice one, bonkers.

The correct answer is Boost. SuperBoost also applies.

    I’ve had both.
First gen Revive was a bit of agg, had to use the revive function all of the time, might be because of how I stored the bike/transported.

The one up is a bit of agg too, I have to change the cable every couple of months, if mud gets in it just makes it sloppy and hard to get a full extension. I need to change it now, the seat only returns 3/4 of the way and I have to pull it up by hand.

I think casual cycling has: see power meters, strava, turbos, aero etc for folk that don’t even race.

I reckon this is right, loads of stats so easy to see incremental gains and then strive for them more.

Agree with the comment about clubs too – I’d like to join one, I’m in fairly decent shape, but intimidated that it will be a bit too serious (hill reps not my idea of fun either).

I’m a relatively new roadie (first road bike in April, done about 1100 miles). There’s a road near me heading out towards Epping where I don’t use the cycle lane. The road condition in the lane is terrible and the road is wide enough not to cause delays, so I’m cool with it. I’m alright with people riding how they want when I drive, provided they are considerate of everyone else.

If you’ve never had a road bike and just an MTB, you won’t get how much the road surface makes a difference.

Flange does a good write up above. I’ve got a 135i which is a great little car – 8sp auto, 4.9 0-60 but 40mpg on motorway runs. Not a midlife crisis car though, too practical.

Just tell them you self identify as Angle Saxon and threaten them with court action if they don’t respect your rights.

Absolutely killed it first response. Close the thread it’s done.

I watched the whole trilogy recently. The first one is awesome, still one of my favourite films, but I’d overlooked just how bad the acting is. Keanu is absolutely terrible.
I then watched the second, not too bad, overboard on the CGI, but kind of watchable.
    The third, completely atrocious.

I’m a fan Ronnie O’Sullivan, loved that 146 two fingers up (albeit appreciate if others don’t given it was him saying the prize money was nothing).

Great looking bike. I’ve been on 29″ too long, those wheels look tiny! (Forgive me if it’s a 29 and you’re just huge).

It’s not like there’s a price label on the pumps either

Do any pubs still actually do this?

I’d consider £5.30 decent – pints after work regularly £6+ nowadays (St. Paul’s/Bank).

@taxi25 – Good man, not nice but I’d appreciate it if it was me.

I have a cat, originally at the behest of the girlfriend, but I’d be upset if he got run over (part of which would be due to the gf being very upset).

I come from a dog family; people that do don’t see that cat owners see them as a part of the family as much as dogs are to others.

Then we would be having the awkward conversation with the traffic police. ” You caused an accident doing an E-stop for a cat?”

That’s just trying to justify it. This forum is weird, people get really irate over nothing (ie. “I got caught doing 35 in a 30″, HOW DARE YOUUUUU”), but not many seem bothered about this.
This was an accident, hard to avoid, but you should have checked it out. No one wants to be knocking doors presenting dead pets, but needs to be tried.
This coming from some one quite selfish with a limited moral compass.

No commentary on why I should buy one? You’ve missed a trick.

Oh no, I’ve attracted a Geex. Whatever I say next you’ll just write a thousand word essay about why I’m wrong so I can’t be arsed.

And talk about why you need an ebike to help him feel better about being lazy.

Cheap borrowing is at the heart of a neoliberal capitalist society that has nowhere to go

Did you fashion your own tin foil hat good sir? Neoliberal, nationalist, insolationalist, you’re just typing long words and quoting off-centre economists views.
