I’ve been doing that, tighten the topcap until the cusp of moving freely then the stem bolts, then finish with a touch extra on the top cap.

Headset is only about 4 months old.

    And no centre lock rotors.

    Cheers lads.

Its ethical in regards of eco and fair sales to consumers.

I use these, come with attachments that route the cable round the ear, very secure when riding.

Youve just explained the risk/reward correlation. With all major funds the only questiom you need to ask yourself is how much risk are you willing to accept?

Recently swapped all my bits over from a fisher Hifi carbon which I had at 120mm/120mm. Gone to a soul with 130mm forks and its great, anyone who says you cant go fast on a hardtail is wrong.

Mountain Rescue in the UK is a charity is it not? And a voluntary body to boot!

Sorry, I was refering more towards hospitals and rehabilitation.

I have to give yunki a +1 im afraid. Why come to a thread aboutan exceptional climber asking who will pay for the cleanup if they fall? Well even if its in this country, which it probably wouldnt be, then itll be divided by the tax from millions. Cant see why youd worry about the 0.001 pence it might potentially cost you.

Thats why I love this forum, where else will a random stranger from the internet go out to their recycling bin so your kid can have a code for a curly straw?

I use a monorail on the back, fast on tarmac, decent on the trails, totally useless in gloop.

An entire day having to listen to and for the most part be polite to racist, homophobic and xenophobic relatives, eating over cooked nigh on mushy food and then having to suffer my sister in law drunkenly shouting utter nonsense and repeating it continually until she’s acknowledged or until they have a fight and an awkward silence takes over.

It is ****ing purgatory and I can’t wait for the 26th December.

Maybe find somewhere else to go on christmas?

Agree with above, hell be out before a year. If hes done 17 years he knows the rules.

Id say theres a high chance that a 38t ring on the middle of a triple chainset will foul your frame, I couldnt even get a 37 in mine.

Forget just taking off the top ring, 32t is too slow.

Too many variables to give a one sentence answer.

Id agree with the above, by having an offset mortgage.
Reducing the term is great but you cant beat having a bit of liquid capital. If all of your money is in your mortgage and you get made redundant, what are you going to spend?

I was sitting squarely on the fence about your issue until I read that the dog has bit 4 people before. Time for it to go.

I would say absolutely not worth £1100.

Too old, you’d get one much better on here for less.

robowns – so you’re not going to bother aligning your bars, putting air in your tyres, setting up your suspension remotely correctly on your pride and joy because it’s more the rider?

Nah I dont bother with bars, I just hold onto the stem.

But yeah I was just adding to the other side of the arguement, obviously I have set mine up to how I like it, didnt spend the money to have something I didnt like.

As said above its the rider more than the suspension. My mate is a professional motorbike racer and beats me on both the ups and decents on a heavy 35lbs+ steel hardtail with forks that have about 20mm of travel.

Its not because his bike is good, its because hes mental and trains 6 days a week every week.
