We’ve not sold any 650b bikes since they came out.
To be fair we are a gift shop.

I think the thread ended there

36 Chainring with an 11-34 9 speed cassette. Although I live in the Midlands so not sure it counts, and its on a hardtail so I stand up on nearly all of the climbs.

So they do something positive (apparently, never bothered me) and people are still not happy? Did you never learn to cross a road as a kid?

I had the same with a Renthal chainring. Avoid.

LeeW’s is mint! Not the sort of thing I usually like but that looks bang on.

Iain what’s the travel on those velvets?

I did this with a DT swiss rws, definitely made it stiffer

I’ll give it a shot. And its definitely normal for hope bearings to be removable by hand?

    robowns

Yeah I could give that a go tomorrow I reckon. Make the steerer shorter and then use the same amount of spacers you think?

I only just put this sfn in today. The old one was a fair bit higher and the same problem. I actually knocked it in further to see if it would help and knocked it too far, leading to putting a new one in.

There’s probably about 3-4mm of bolt through the sfn when tightened, installed with a hammer.

And yes crown race and reducer are installed, all the way as tight as they will go.

Yeah but then the star nut would be too far in for the bolt to fit

Ive got the spacers below the stem then my top cap directly on top of the stem. Its probably a 2-3mm above the top of the steerer. Ive tried other configs, ie a smaller spacer below and a little spacer on top leading to the same gap.

Ive got everything except what looks like the top cap o’ring. The top cap meets directly with the stem bolt on mine. Could this cause it?

I reinstalled a starnut today, seems pretty snug. I’ll check the diagram now, I’ll kick myself if its something missing.

Yeah I can see some movement in the piece that sits above the bearings and below the spacers.
Ive checked that everything else is tight as well.

If it keeps the prices low I’ll keep buying, I don’t care if the company pays tax or not to be honest

Is it an overclockable board? I know some folks consider it somehow risky, and sometimes it’s not worth the hassle but I’m still using a pretty old Q6600 processor tuned to the eyeballs and I’d have long ago replaced it without the overclock (occasionally the mobo starts up without the overclocks and it’s immediately noticable just in everyday use never mind power applications). Not everything overclocks that well, but there’s usually untapped performance.

+1, overclocking is like upgrading your PC, but for free.

I was thinking about going there but a friend that went advised me the resort is primarily German. Ended up staying on the north of the island.

You could take a pic from the bottom of a line that drops off a cliff and it would still look flat.

Just played around with it for 5 mins and I now think otherwise, im useless. The slight clunk I can hear gets louder if I put my ear next to the stem.

Feels as though there is slight movement between the stanchion and fork brace.

    Good call Tom, ill check.

Yeah hope headset, 3 spacers are in place.

Some good suggestions but I seem to be complying with them all and still have the problem.

    Its a new headset,
Enough gap between top of steerer and top of stem,
Top cap tightened followed by stem

It is only noticeable when I rock the bike back and forth with the front brake on or I hear a slight clunk when I brake using just the front.

Anyone else with any solutions this is driving me mad.

It was really really bad. Was still considering turning it off half way through. It was really my sort of film as well, turns out cutting between about 6 stories with pretty much nothing to do with each other made a film with no depth.
The idea was decent enough, too many holes.
    Would not recommend.
