New Cotic one should come with free felt tip pen set, its a bit ‘paint by numbers’ looking.
    🙂

All adapters work with all brands of brakes.
Hope adapter F for the rear, or any other brand will do.

Proof if needed the bike industry has zero respect for our wallets, they’ll keep taking the piss because there’s always some mug who’ll buy it.

I.S adapter rear for whatever size your rotor is. The older I.S mounts are sort of front and rear specific, for example a 180mm front works as 160mm rear.
So 160mm rear and ? for your fork.

Then maybe check the dish on the rear wheel, or maybe it’s just the photo 🙂
Edit, new blue fork decals wouldn’t hurt.

Sram 11sp links are nice n cheap, but make your next chain a connex wipperman, most durable and strong and the truly reusable link is genius, pricey as hell though if bought separately.

sjscycles, hub1016-03S £6.75 for 142 & 148, just bought one, received the other day, slightly scuffed mine by knocking my wheel over so bought replacement.
Freehub should come with endcap though.
But if you’re using hopes boost conversion kit theres no endcap available for MS yet.

Personally I’d strip it down and service it myself, unless the bushes need attention.

If it’s their mistake, just pay postage then get reimbursed when you send proof of postage.
I had to send something back, it cost about £12 at the post office. If it’s not faulty or you ordered wrong thing then you don’t get the cost of postage back.

T25 magnusson chunky screwdriver gives the right torque for me, I check with a 5nm torque key but can always undo with the magnusson.

You’ll be surprised how much everything flexes, just look at the slow mo huck to flat vids from pinkbike, it’s scary how much forks can bend.
I could probably make that crank touch by hand.

The barrel/nipple should be different, if I recall its stamped or has a different silhouette.

For future install I recommend a socket type bb tool, like a lezyne one that can fit on a torque wrench, they cause less damage to the cups, I put a piece of kitchen roll or a handkerchief between the cup and tool so I don’t even mark my anodised cups torqued to 40nm.

Personally I love the modulation you get with Hope E4’s, I use 200mm rotors front and rear, they’re good for everything but full on DH, something a bit more grabby is needed. Although I remember Steve Peat raced with mono minis on his Orange back in the day.

There’s more to singletrack than just the forum bruneep 😊

Do people on here not even bother checking the articles until fresh goods Friday. Try checking today’s news.

That 52 chainline for everything but superboost is on odd one from shimano, Q factor and chainline are seperate things, Q factor only really comes into play with superboost imo, my heels very rarely catch my seat stays with boost.

You’re right Simon E it’s not my private track and I never treat it as such but I wasn’t the one having a picnic on it and creating a road block. They apologied and realised their actions were dangerous, not mine. I was actually quite friendly despite their stupidity. Some people would’ve flipped their lid.

Controversial opinion but I think the seal head and foot nut should be a free upgrade to fix the unwanted unseated sag considering the price of the lyrik ultimate, that 1cm drop really bugs me.

If you’re running a Hope hub without torque caps you’re missing out, well worth the umpteen quid.

People who ride outside of a pandemic.
Not the people I’ve referred to in the box you’ve so kindly quoted me in.

Jesus christ some people are determined to find offence, usually snarky pedants replacing their sense of humour with malice, ironically. Twatty bollocks, how rude, I’m so offended submarined.😀
As for new people discovering the Joy’s of biking, earlier today a family of four decided to stop and sprawl their bikes across the trail and have a break in the shade at the bottom of a downhill rooty section, lucky I was taking it easy.

Theres no performance issue or creaking, I’m just thinking ‘that line wasn’t there before’, looks like I’ll be dismantling and checking to be on the safe side, I’m putting a new wheel on anyway, just didn’t want to risk bearing damage by tapping out the axle for nothing.

I think I know the types he is referring to, overweight n overpaid with fancy job titles splashing out on all the gear and shiny new bike that will be cast aside and collecting dust in the garage once the pandemic is over, not real cyclists imo, do the touchy people on here not have friends who constantly take the piss out of each other, calling harmless banter trolling is an insult to people who’ve suffered real online abuse.
Look on the bright side, when it’s all over there will probably be plenty more almost new bikes on Ebay.

Personally I think the arch is a big improvement, reminds me of the marzocchi 350 which was solid and stiff, those channels are genius but the pistachio option has me confused, do I love it or hate it.
Apparently the RS totem is coming back, but how do Rockshox beat Fox this time.

Haha, I’ve seen a few today, from behind it looks like a beach ball balancing on a cocktail stick. More people in my woods too, I’m sick of braking.

Top of the pops, the chart show, cduk, those were the good old days.

That cup has to come out sometime so better to do it before it gets even worse, a friend once had a mangled cup issue so he filed two flatish edges into the cup and used a stilson to remove.

For IS frame = Hope adapter N 180mm hbmn.
Post mount frame = Hope adapter L 180mm hbml.

My faves are sapim D-lights with polyax nipples, sapims nips can handle spoke angles better, the added bonus with D-lights is that they can be 2mm too long and not bind down because they’re thinner after the thread, and theyre stronger than their standard spoke.

Pedal pins are usually M4 so just buy some stainless M4 bolts of Ebay, practically any length available. Kay’s are cheap as.

I’m left with an ugly lump from a broken clavicle, it wasn’t healing at first and surgery was on the cards but then it started to heal, I now have limited back scratching movement, really wish I’d gone under the knife and had it set properly and plated, a scar is much better than an asymmetrical upper torso.
