Right a few points to set straight and it’s the end of it as far as I’m concerned.
1)yes it was a brand new f/hub I bought from crc as lbs couldn’t get hold of one cost £30
2)lbs charge was £18 for fitting f/hub and re spoking r/wheel = £48.
3)f/wheel already had new bearings fitted.
4) springs and pawls are a separate kit to the f/hub body.
the only test I gave the wheels was by hand.
I am extremely peed of with this whole thread and I suppose it’s at least given the stone throwers someting to get thier teeth into.
And yes I do feel in some ways to be being badgered into paying Deew something,which against my better judgement I will.
some people seem not to be able to see what they have got and only see what they think they’ve been ripped for.

into my pocket £16.50 and he wants £15 back for spring and pawls.
I know what I sold the wheels for was my decision and I dropped the asking for him.

I do not buy parts or bikes to sell on. I am a serial upgrader and can’t help myself,and if I do pass someting on it’s usually at a loss.I have sold some very nice parts to some very nice nearly all of which have been on a bike of mine at one point or another. I have myself have been ripped a few times on ST and other forum’s thankfully never for much and have always stuck by buyer/beware and a shrug of the shoulders.But I don’t think it’s the case in this instance’

NO I didn’t I sold a 2nd hand set of wheels with a honest description as to work carried out and desription,with no warranty implied or given or at at any point desribe any thing as perfect.

accepted the fact your’e not calling me a liar,the point as far as I’m concered is considering the build of the wheels you recieved for £92.50 you’d even ask for a further £15 off for a set of springs and pawls (albeit a month after you bought them) 99.9% of people would have just been rubbing thier hands at the wheels they’d got.many thanks for rubbishing my name on the forum 🙄

spec of wheels he bought,,, dt swiss xr 4.2d (light scratches) F/hud hope pro11 straight pull with new bearings 9.5 /10 condition R/hub nukeproof (re spoked with b/new f/hub £48 charge at lbs and told should cure the slipping under load) and buyer was aware of this fact and he paid the princely sum of £92.50 delivered

and I’m being made out to be a villain ! I think we should ask all the other people whov’e bought gear from me ?

‘they’ve got the RF dues sl’s on sale with 50% off you’ll have to put a bit more to your £150 though but well worth it Ti axle and almost as light as xtr and the’re numbered as limited edition.Take a look,I;ve got a set I run 1 x 10 and really rate them,come with a top notch BB as well.

you will have a pressure vessel inside the boiler which is filled via a schrader valve (same as car valve)with a removable core when the seal fails the tank leaks air,the 1 bar it goes down is probably air differential .Replace with a new core and repressurise the system,It is actually a common problem and really should be a cheap fix but a lot of so called experts seem to find/sort it and always seem to find costly remedys.Well worth a try I know a few people who’ve been talked into secondry expansion vessels when it’s been no more than a lealing core in the valve.Hope this may help.

If you think that retailers don’t do this your’e sadly mistaken,I wish I had a quid for every time I was told someting was in stock I’d be rich.think about it,if their site said out of stock,oos, oos, people would’t order ! they all do this,then once they have your money but thier suppler hasn’t got your item is where they fall foul of the customer and generally the lies start.Instead of saying the suppler is out of stock they fob you off so as they don’t have to refund the money and lose a sale. 😯

double spec mechs just work better for thier intended purpose and are a lot less faff to set up.GET ONE,

go for the straight pull evo’s lighter and tighter than standard evo’s
but only in black, any hope tech shops should get u coloured hubs at no extra cost but hope will only do them for tech shops.

I don’t think it was the hope axles snapping it was the 12mm maxle lights snapping as they were machined out in the middle to lighten em up.I have had two 10mm q/r snap the treaded end off though.

for god’s sake clear up some of that clutter on the worktops it’s spoiling the effect of those high gloss tops. 😀

matchmaker does away with bracket on shifter and replaces bracket on lever which said shifter then mounts directly to,,, if that makes sense.

the spacers should’t make any difference to the feel of the forks and will reduce the axle crown height by the same mm as the spacer. 🙂

I;ve got a lt2 with 1 x 10 set up.I’m using a gamut g25 but youv’e got to grind down the lock nut on the btm roller to about half it’s depth so it clears the link.after all it is just a lock nut as the bolt for the btm roller is threaded in the back plate.Igot mine down to thickness using a belt sander and 60 grit paper.
