If you thibk your not givin money to paypal by getting paid by gift your deluded. Paypal still gets their money.

Can you explain where the money they get comes from then if i send £10 gift and the other person receives £10?

Its not a trust thing for me, its a not give paypal any money thing. Paypal gift for me is the electronic version of cash, its either that or bank transfer for me.

chain on the first nomad looks too long?

Works fine still a links worth of capacity. Gives the option of a 34t and if it snaps it still plenty long enough.

How is that best of both worlds its still just 10 speed. XX1 cranks aren’t even the lightest option.

Yes cable tension is very sensitive with 11 speed its bound to be. But i wouldn’t go back to anything else now, its brilliantly simple and efficient.
I use my 30t the most.

If you buy it from the germans you save a fortune and XX1 is the same price as X01, only part i have is an X01 shifter as it was £25 cheaper.

    Here is my Nomad.

I swap between a 30t and 34t at the minute.

I couldnt wait to get rid of the front mech, now using XX1 with a 30t front ring. Its the best upgrade i have ever done, even better than going to a dropper post.

lovewookie thats how i do mine, as long as possible with the mech still able to take the slack.

I use CV grease from Halfords.

I just turned a cheap pair of pliers from the pound shop into link pliers, easy to do with a grinder.

Tights? That sounds a bit girly. What’s wrong with just pants.

I sized mine by having it as long as possible but so the mech still has a bit of movement left, allows me to go up in chain ring by 2 rings before running into problems.

Because some people don’t care about skill and just ride for fun, and sometimes having nice expensive parts is fun and desirable. Why cant people get it into there heads that’s its none of there businesses what someone else chooses to ride or how to ride.

The torque settings are printed on the Hope stems so follow them and you wont over-tighten.

I have mine set to flash and stay constant at the same time, seems to do the trick.

Both at fault, cyclist on the wrong side of the road and driver not looking both ways.

You gave up there? You only had a couple of hundred meters to go. :D

Just don’t go to Worsley Woods on a saturday morning, i was there last weekend and it was full of annoying selfish runner, they weren’t for keeping to a side just using the entire paths as if no one else were there.

They have recently tarmaced the main paths in the woods as well, but there are some good hidden bits with some jumps, and a couple of small sections of single track.
I do a big loop from Swinton, down agecroft along Drinkwater park to Clifton then down to Worsley Woods then Monton and back to sSinton its a good ride with minimal ride riding.

Hope do a GXP adapter for your BB its what im using.

Rear mech was just like a normal one to set up, set your min and max, then fit cable and adjust tension and distance from mech.

I’m using a 30t with mine, gets me up everything and i’m no climber.
I love XX1, its everything i hoped it would be, smooth, quiet and efficient.

Park at Rhy Ddu and walk along the rode to the youth hostel, then head up the rangers path, come back down the rhyd ddu path. Great walk.

Crib Goch is best done in middle of winter, but then requires the appropriate gear.

I agree, by far the best time, last time i went i left the car at 4am an was at the top watching the sunrise. Even if you do come across the odd walker there heading up so facing you, makes it much easier to navigate past people, and usually the early walkers are pleasant walkers.
I will never do a mid-day ride on snowdon and especially not at weekend.

Only thing that bugs me is, you need to loosen the rear banjo on the caliper and rotate it down so it looks neater. Front could do with the same tweak but not as bad.

I love my Nomad does everything i could want, only just treated it to the XX1 treatment. Enjoy yours.

Not dual air but i have the DC2DH Lyriks.
My settings are 5HS, 3LS and 12 rebound. Air pressure is just what ever it takes to get 30% sag.

No riding this weekend, bike is out of commission.
Did start the conversion to 11 speed though, so got my Hope Pro 2 converted to Evos and fitted the XD freehub, just waiting on the XX1 parts and Hope GXP converter.

I have the Four4th Green Holy Moses, been excellent really helps features stand out on the trail, its hard to explain but white light seems to flatten everything. There also that bright i wouldn’t worry about anyone’s lights behind you.

Yes, seems logical to me considering pedestrians have right of way on bridleways.
“Cyclists using a bridleway are also obliged to give way to other users on foot or horseback.”

We get ample time to ride it. I wouldn’t want to ride it during busy times.
I’m tempted to join you but i prefer to go real early during the summer months.

I thought the offence is riding on the road without lights? Surely if he is on the pavement the offence is riding on the pavement, in which case there supposed to use discretion when dealing with it.

I think i will stick to my Four4th Holy Moses, not a fan of the cheap alternatives.

Its all marketing making us all believe we need different bikes for different things. I do absolutely everything on my SC Nomad even the Manchester to Blackpool and commuting to work.

Its just a mountain bike, some have more suspension some less some are lighter than others. I dont get involved in the different bikes for different things.

    Four4th lights.
I have a Green LED Holy Moses and its very bright, can choose which battery and mounts you want with it.
The green LED gives great definition in the dark.
