Definitely Four4th, i have the Holy Moses with green LEDS, its awesome. They do an even brighter one now as well.
Nothing else comes close to the quality of Four4th.

    How about 4200 lumens http://four4th.co.uk/products/lights/omg-duplicate/

I find the grease gun okay for a temp solution but it often only does ones side and one part of that side, much better to remove and regrease.

You don’t need to take the air out of the shock either, just undo the bolts and remove.

Depends if you just want to put fresh grease around the bearings or actually change the bearings.
The way its designed on my Nomad 2 i cant see the bearings ever going due to ingress. The grease surrounds them so as long as you change the grease, inject new grease regularly they will stay clean.

Nothing, they offer me nothing but more expensive prices and less choice.
Other businesses have embraced and used the internet but for some reason people think an LBS should stick with the old ways.

I ordered an XX1 style spiderless ring 28t in red.

Did you get an order confirmation, only thing i have is the normal Paypal receipt, nothing from AB. Really bugs me when companies leave you in the dark.

What’s the point of random breath testing considering you can decline the test.
They can only force you if they reasonably believe you are drink driving.

    I’m using

XX1 Cassette, Chain, Cranks (30t), mech.
    X01 Shifter

I find it absolutely faultless. Only think i fancy changing is to a spiderless chain ring and to drop to a 28t to avoid using the 42t so much.

    Maxxis Advantage?

I currently use a 30t front ring, and use the 42t a bit too often so i think i will be dropping to a 28t for a while. I’m really not bothered about going fast on flat so high gears don’t interest me too much, gravity gives me all the speed i need.

Its lasting well so far though, i keep it in my mind while riding to keep the drivetrain as clean as possible so if its caked in mud i had for the nearest stream and ride through it, nothing worse than hearing that grinding noise.

marine grease for me as well, thick so it stays put, nothing on a bike spins fast enough to be a problem with fully packing bearings as well.

Yeah sounds like he wants new perks with second hand gear. Once an item is received and checked its nothing to do with you, so to have sorted the warranty out is above and beyond.

If people want to buy nice bikes and not ride them, what’s wrong with that? They’re putting money into our sport and helping to keep trail centres going without causing any wear and tear.

Sounds like we should be thanking them.

    My take on it is.

The amount of time you spend caring about what other people are riding = how much your are jealous.

What about people with cheap cars and expensive bikes, where do they fit into the OP’s stereotype hierarchy.

I’d like to know how I’m perceived

I think i fall into that one with a Mk1 Ford Focus and a SC Nomad.

Do they still have the gastly mesh bit on the headtube. Plus epic fail with the seatube split being on the wrong side its much better located at the front.

Same mine just keep on surviving, been through a couple of frames, forks and drivetrains but the hubs are still going strong. I have changed the rear bearings but only to change to a XD freehub.

Love 1×11, took me a while to decide to get it but it was well worth it, i use a 30t ring and it does me just fine. I could manage with a 32t but that would mean more time in the 42t gear which wears much faster than the rest. As it is for hill climbing i spend most of my time in the 36t.

It right after a little stream that you cross you go back uphill and bends to the right, the turn off is just after the bend on the right.

Mine only get a full clean once a year when i strip it down, other times its just clean the seals and drivetrain.

Glad your sorted, seeing as its more or less a set and forget setting it doesn’t bother me too much. I just see the red adjuster as a cover.

    robj20

Something TFT told me, pull the red knob out, just pull it.
And use a 2.5mm allen key, the adjuster is pants, you will get all 12 clicks with an allen key.

Mine were about to go back with the same problem.

A DB Air will be brilliant on your Mk2 Nomad, i have one on mine.
If you buy from TFTuned it will come ready to fit, servicing its possible on your own but not easy, its more a send it back job.

Pull it out and use an allen key, 2.5mm if i remember correctly.

Thanks for that. And will you take down three of the bunch as a rider did to our club, writing off two bikes in the process?

Whoa, where did i say i would crash into them? If i’m cycling along i’m not changing my route or speed simply because you don’t like my proximity to your procession.
I only get this with road riders anyway, two mountain bikers meet and they get along and have a chat, road riders seem to take things far too seriously.

I find them funny, they dont own the road nor the space around them so i will cycle where i choose.
