Well XX1 is 4 links, mine needs 6 to allow for chain growth. It also allows me to swap between a couple of different chainrings.

A lot of XC racers are choosing bolt-up axles versus QRs now, it’s one bolt, so not quite the same, but can be done quicker than a QR, particularly if you have an hex key bit in an electric drill to undo it with, F1 style wheel changes!

I wouldn’t take it as a given that undoing/tightening several QRs is quicker than just using a tool.

I’m sure a Maxle type QR is quicker than any bolt requiring a tool.
Lol at carrying an electric drill to do the bolts up, so to save a few grams on a bolt up axle they then carry a tool weighing 10 times what a QR bolt would be.

I just cant see where this setup is better.

Even for a race, if you had a puncture it would add a hell of a lot of time having to undo all them and then to not lose any.

Surely its better to sacrifice a few grams for the ease of QR.

Fox really chose that option, whats the idea behind that instead of a QR axle?

Yeah, that idiot in the car did nothing wrong at all

Bad choice of location for an overtake, but there was ample space between you and the car to come to a complete stop well before touching the bumper.

As much as i love my Nomad, i think there are a few other bikes that are 99% as good for a lot less money. I wanted one purely because it was my dream bike, when it comes time to replace it i doubt i would get another SC bike.

The SRAM say not re-usable but mine gets re-used every week when im cleaning my chain. I made the tool from a £1 pair of pliers, just need to be thin enough and have a notch in the end.

Your really best speaking to TFtuned or Mojo, im not 100% what changing the stroke size effects. But they will help you pick a shock and fit bushes so it mounts straight to your frame.

    Common sizes are 184 x 44, 190 x 50 and 200 x 50 so you would have to choose from that.

    Yours comes in at 194 x 41.2.

Might be best phoning TFtuned or such to see what the say.

My friends dog used to chase bikes, so he asked for my help and we have it to the point where the dog avoids bikes i wouldn’t say scared of bikes but moves away from them.
If a dog comes at me its getting my boot as hard as i can.

Definitly not about speed for me, my bike purchase mostly came down to “i like that bike, im having one” yes its not the fastest along the flats or up hill but neither am i capable i just enjoy riding my bike.

I just use my Nomad for everything, never enters my mind that a different bike would be needed for certain things, i just get on with it.

So what’s the pace really like, i know you lot say slow but right now i can barely get along the flat never minds hills. Took me a few rest stops the other day to get up Rivington.
Im doing my best at the minute to get out a couple of times a week but its not easy to motivate myself with this weather.

Definitely get in touch with the police. Just to help the claim along and they will get in touch with the owner.

Im pretty sure you cant crush the bearings with GXP, the whole point of GXP is that it clamps onto the inner race of the non drive side bearing, there is no way to crush the bearings unless you have the spacers wrong for the frame.

Same think, Zerk is the proper name though.

Oscar U. Zerk is the guy that invented them.
