Thanks for that link jools I saw it earlier but was wanting a new one.

Is there much diference between the 72 and 54?

I want it for my hardtail jump bike so the strongest would be best.

robidoo – I'm using 32:17 and it seems to pretty much line up where it does with the geary tabs in place. I'm sure with a half link on a singlespeed chain you could certainly get it close enough not to worry.

    Cheers for that.

Any problems setting up the rear brake?

Was thinking of a Chameleon (ss) to replace my Curtis SX, and read it can be tricky to get the mix of chain tension and the brake/disc in line.

Did a couple of laps of Lee quarry and it was great quite alot there too,
was quite hard going on me singlespeed jump bike(will have to get my arse in gear and build the Soul back up).
Big thanks to the guy on the Ellsworth for pointing out the way to Cragg.

Only did one lap of Cragg as time was getting on but that was good too, are there any plans for more trails in Cragg as there looked like loads of potential?

Ha Ha I have just repaired 12 tubes today (after 4 flats in the last two rides)
The patches in the repair kit I bought from the pound shop are pretty good too.

Cheers guys I have the hollow axle out and will give Hope a call.

Would like to know how it broke though.

Oh am I right in saying the BETD axle replaces the maxle and the hollow axle that the maxle slides through? (hope that makes sense)

I can confirm Hora was at the bottom for a while on one of the pootles we were getting cold 😆
Cavedale is a top descent I have cleaned it in the snow, in the rain and went over the bars on a bone dry day.
You never take the same line each time.
    Lots of walkers though 👿

    +1 hob nob
I have used vans,dc and airwalk all good shoes but they don't grip as well as my 5/10's.
Having said that they are ugly,a git to dry out and my sole has started to peel away so I may try something else next time.

I was there for the first time on Saturday too, I also drove for a an hour and half.
I thought it was good considering there's not much elevation.
The thing is with all the posts about the new Monkey Trail being fantastic etc it has bigged it up some what.
It all depends on what you are used to riding, what is rad air and gnarly to one rider may be a piece of pish to another.
I made it round on my singlespeed jump bike (standing up ) and cleared the black rocky bits with no problems but I am local to the Peak and wharncliffe so ride stuff like this alot.
But I saw some riders going round the black stuff which is ok as it would give them something to aim for next time.
I will be going back sometime with some mates but when we get a dry-ish spell as I got soaked on sat and the large pebbles were slic when wet.

Bumhands I would love a bike that rides like my Curtis SX but I also
take out on longer rides with a bit of seat up action.
I too like small frames (16 inch Soul and Orange Alpine) what is the geometry on yours?

Thanks Chris thats the one, the steeper hardpack track is the one I have done before, is the turn on the left at the edge of the water that takes me up to the gate easy to spot?

Just built my Santa Cruz Bullit after it came back with fresh paint and decals.
About to take it out for a test ride to check me gears.
Jumped down the steps at the side of my house and that horrible (exspensive) sound came from the back of the bike.
During my rebuild I had forgot to install the two pinch bolts that clamp the bearings and rear triangles axle.
Thus snapping the rear end off.
I couldn't sleep right for days, what a nob!
(Anyone got a Bullit rear triangle for sale as I still have a front end in me shed?)
