Greased my maxel today and torqued my air chamber top cap and its loads better.

Tried the upside down wheel out wiggle but no noise present, what I did notice was my outer cables tapping together on the rough ground so will sort that later.

Cheers for the tips, good luck crazyjenkins.

Thanks for the replies so far, the pikes are used so not exactly sure on the year but the calipers dont fit the rotor if bolted straight on.

The bit that made me chuckle was when the guy spent ages gathering stone from around the site only for our Kevin to smash it to small pieces saying ” look at it it’s rubbish “.
I could feel the Dr wife boiling up, bet she wanted to take the lump hammer and smash Kevin with it.

Kos town looks worst hit due to the older buildings there, or hotel is 3k from the town so there must be some damage.
Apparently there is power out and no mains water in some areas but that should be sorted by next week.
Currently in contact with travel agents to see if they can find us an alternative.

I now have an 09 Honda Transalp 700, great bike heated grips screen etc.
It does its job of commuting perfect with the odd day out thrown in
Past my test in the summer of 2015 and bought a Mk1 Bandit 1200 as it was fairly cheep but a bit impractical as it was loud and naked and not good at 05:00 for the neighbors.
Awesome bike for the money though
Test rode a street triple r and a tiger xc both great bikes.
Fancy a bobber next, would love an enduro but the thought of the local scrotes knicking it bothers me.

Couldnt go as I was at work, was a fantastic turnout. I agree with the date could have been better ie not mothers day lol and should have been a summers day.
Imo its not the price of parking its the fact of where you put the ticket without it blowing off, do they stick on in the rain, someone could nick/ remove it?
Then you are left arguing the toss with the parking warden about proving you have payed, with the threat of a fine a lot of riders thinking it’s not worth the hassle so will stop somewhere else.

Stoner there are two light switches in the room one has one switch that controls ceiling light, the other has three switches on for ceiling, opposite wall and the wall she wants removing.
    Hope that makes sense lol.

Sounds like a plan hammy, you have my wife spot on I came home a while back and she was on with ripping the dado rails off.
Leaving me to finnish the job of filling the holes, sanding and repainting… I’m supposed to be riding on my days off fgs!!! 😆

    robidoo

Yes there is only one 3 way switch, there is one switch at the other end of the room purely for the ceiling light.

Nice report grunty, I too passed my bike test recently.
I have yet to test ride the big GS but plan to take one out in the next few weeks.
I took a Triumph Street triple R out last week followed by a Tiger 800xc, the Street was brill to ride with lots of power for a small engine.
However the Tiger just felt right, not as much grunt of the street but still quick and really comfortable.
Did you take any other bikes out or were you set on the BMW?
Like the look of the new Tracer too.

Thanks for the concern pigface, I have not competed in mx/enduro but owned them as a youth up intil I was in my mid 20’s.
It all comes down to money once test is passed I can’t see the Mrs liking me spending thousands on a big BMW as me first bike.
Tbh I will be fine on any bike really, five mins to get used to the weight and feel and your away just don’t bin it in the first two 😆
The GS 1200 are huge though but my instructors use them and say they are real stable at slow speeds.

I have a mx/ enduro day booked in July where I will be riding a Kawasaki KLX 450R in the woods in the morning then on an mx track in the afternoon.
The last time we did it we started on a Honda CRF250x which we were impresed with but then spent the afternoon on the CRF450x’s, once I opened the 450 up there was no way I was going back to the 250.
Would love an enduro bike but with the restrictions on green laning I can’t see me getting one.
I have owned lots of bikes as a youth with a couple of Honda XR250’s being my faves, so drawn to the Honda reliability.

All interesting stuff I will probably stick to my plan of something quite tame compared to a Ducati Hypermotard which I also like the look, power and sound of.
6 points in the 1st two years and its a ban so I have to be sensible Brrrraaaaap 😆

    Thanks for the replys folks.
Stoner never heard of the Honda NC700X but thanks for bringing them up, I have just had a gander on ebay and really like the look of them.
I was originally drawn to the transalp but these look more modern, are there any issues or problems the NC suffers from?

Sounds promising, its just so hard to decide as I have only ever ridden MX/enduro bikes.
I have a 650 bandit, BMW GS650 or a BMW F800r to choose to practice on, anyone had any experience riding any of these.
Going to sit on them all and pick one that feels best.
