Yep.Right on the button there z1ppy.Yours is the right tune and a second hand one has unknown history and the wrong tune.So to end up with a reliable shock you,d end up paying twice.one for the shock and again for a service and re-tune from Si at loco. 😉
I have both and they are very similar in appearance and fit.
I can,t really tell the difference when using either.Bought the 661 as my flux was getting a bit shabby.Weird that i picked that one as i should have just bought another flux.. 😕
Hey carlos.Yep same here on pikes but fixed with a washer off you kind self 😀
The wheel set is a xm317 but if i put my newer xc 717 hope hoops on theres no wobble at all.
Is,nt it something to do with the older pro 2 hubs and 20/15mm adapters.
Tolerances and all that blar blar….
No.Just the normal DX.
They must have fed the donkey extra carrots before they sent it on it,s way. 😉
Personally i use trouts LL and baby but for the money these are spot on.
Swapped out the rp2 on my spicy over to a dhx5 coil with Ti spring.
Shock was sent strait over to loco to be tuned for me and the frame curve.
The difference between the two is like chalk and cheese.
As has been said.If you set a coil shock up right…. 😀

I,m sure i,ll change the frame before the forks so why cut down the steerer. If i do cut it sods law says they won,t fit the new frame. 🙁
Yer i know podge but a fox van rc comes very very close so with a tiny bit more sag and a little tweek on the compression to hold it up a bit it might just work….Well in my deranged head anyway. 😀
Cheers Shackleton.Any advice is welcome. Are yours the exact fork bud(dual position).I normally have no problem setting up suspension front or rear but these may take a little bit more time by the sounds of things.
I thought my dhx 5 coil on the spicy took a bit of fetteling. 😉
