Also while it apart check the bush for any sharp edges from manufacture.
Quick wet and dry around each edge.
How does the energy transfer is you hit your thumb with said hammer.

WD40 (both sides)a couple of times first and leave for good 10 mins.
It,s only plastic so it’s not really bonded.
I thought about this one for my trance x as the rp23 is hard to find second hand in that size.If i could find one it would be off up there ^ for a re-tune. 😉

This is a known problem with these forks.I,v got a pair and they have been flawless.There a huge thread about it on mtbr.Give me a min and i,ll find it for you.
