I’d be looking at uberbikecomponents pads myself……

Threw mine in the bin (race matrix), seemed unsuited to hard use. ymmv of course but they were useless.

Uber race matrix are what you need. They really are very good.
I replaced SS kevlar with them and the difference is unbelievable.

    ROFL. STW at its best!
I’m with rickon.I just can’t fault mine…Weird.Got them on two bikes and have thrashed the hell out of them.No fade under heat, consistent good bite and feel and can stick me over the bars.
    Inconstant manufacturing.????????

As above.Local bike shop will not have the expertise of Si at loco.
Do your local bike shop do a recharge on the nitrogen.I doubt it.If there IS a problem your lbs will be ****.
I wouldn’t trust any local bike shop with my suspension.Horse for courses my friend.

No.What he means is the plastic way stopping the fork from compressing fully giving less travel with it in.

It will be the bottom two on the large white disc on the rebound damper.
    Two seals.Internal and external.
You can see it here on the stock damper.

Not a mod as there old forks.Just seals gone.

One of the seals gone in the damper side causing all the damping oil to migrate to the bottom of the leg. Then it hydro locks and does feel and sound solid.
Pop the lowers off and see how much oil comes out of the bottom of the damper side leg.

Although in giant land 5″ is 140mm

Have i got this right.New trance still has 127mm out back and a 160 up front..Strange setup that is..
    From there site.

All new and designed to maximize the benefits of 27.5-inch wheels, Trance SX 27.5 is a gravity-minded trail bike that’s light enough to hammer climbs and smooth enough to crush any descent. The lightweight yet stiff and super-strong ALUXX SL aluminum frame is mated with a longer travel fork (up to 160mm) and 5 inches of proven Maestro Suspension designed. The frame also features Giant’s OverDrive 2 steerer tube technology for razor sharp handling. And gravity-ready components make this an enduro-ready machine that won’t weigh you down on the climbs.

Absolutely superb.Had shimano standard and xtr’s but this is soooo much better.I bought another one as a spare there that good.
Pop the bearing covers off and give them a good pack with grease first and they last for a ever.

Add another 10mm as you shouldn’t really get 20mm on full lockout.
10mm of travel is good. 😉

Gloss on gloss is no good.It won’t adhere and come off in sheets next time you rub it down. You can (key) gloss and gloss over it but not really the right way to do things.

    twang’s got it.
Exception..If you hit bare wood 2 undercoats just on the bare bits.No need to do the whole lot.
