The cane creek shock should make the sworks frame a lot better than the older ones

How about an 06 with a CCDB?

Met a guy last year whilst out & about; rigid singlespeed inbred, sporting beard – didn’t bother asking cos it was too obvious 😉

Turned out he brews real ale for a living!

^ Don’t expect toffee whatever the tasting notes say

I feel that way about my Apollo Rampage from Halfords, brilliant bike, it has a spring at the back and everything.

 Genius! Bet it’s red – they’re the fasterest.

Tried ‘Jailbreak’ from hasbean with my aeropress.

Really awful. It was sort of sweet and oily. I gave it to a mate who is well into his coffee and he hated it too!

Much my experience with hasbeen, but I’ve been told off on here before for stating my preference for dark roast & suggesting the espresso starter pack from HB is underwhelming.

I mostly get mine from http://www.stmartinscoffee.co.uk/ – the boss likes coffee just a little too much 🙂 Bet there’s similar places in Manc. that roast their own.

Something a bit fancier than just a wardrobe.

    An iron maiden perhaps?

How much carving do you do? I just use a chef’s knife; I use it for nearly everything.

The only others I have are a cleaver for chopping though bones & a bread knife for, well, bread.

We’ve just taken on a new kiton! Cute she is!
Answers to the name of Miss Marbles.

Queenie Bee, aged about 17, lives in the house and is a bit unimpressed by the new arrival. Missy Marbs keeps trying to make friends, but is getting hissed at quite a bit. Not a surprise as Queenie is a miserable bugger, but she’s get used to having more company.

I say more cos she’s had to get used to Puddy (next door moved and left her to it), aged 12, who mostly lives in the shed and comes in for din-dins & when it’s too cold to be out. Puddy saw Miss Marbles through the kitchen door, looked like she was having a poo and ran off – no worries there.

MacCavity, aged 8ish, however is another matter. He’s a bit of a wanderer and spends a fair bit of time under a bush in our garden. He’s an alpha and, whilst nice & purry with people, will fight anything feline, even the enormous (poss Maine Coon) that lives down the road.
He looked at Marbs like she was dinner – will be keeping my eye on that situation and getting her neutered asap.

That’s right, I’m a mad cat lady and, as such, I say do it! And if it goes wrong I’ll take it off your hands 🙂

Are there rules on what bike you can use

I was a bit surprised how hard Eastridge is to ride having some rather steep climbs & descents (I’d taken a mate for his 1st ever ride – he didn’t die); anyone taking a DH bike will get pretty pissed off with pushing.

It’s good, but could be a bit of a mare in the wet. It’s the first place I’ve ridden where a dropper seatpost makes quite a lot of sense – and I didn’t have one 🙂

I’ve had a 53 plate tdi Galaxy for a couple of months and it’s mint!

50mpg for long motorway hauls if you are sensible, seats come out easily once you’ve got the knack, much cheaper than an smax cos there’s so many about and you get to see more scenery than a normal car being so high up.

Handles great and is proper nippy too, but then I used to drive a beat up caddy van so the bar was set pretty low 🙂

I’ve got a Banshee with them on the main pivots, makes sense until you try and find a gun that will work properly with them.

Loads of ideas, discussions, getting a pool car, secure lock-ups, showers, ride to work schemes etc. happened at my place. The people who were interested mostly owned bikes already and rode in quite a lot, or were not very well off.

An unintentional effect of the new

    charge people to park

policy was what actually did it.

Increased the number of riders by 2 and 1 guy who now walks. Who used to drive half a mile each way every day. And is, perhaps unsurprisingly, obese.

Mostly people won’t do it cos they don’t want to; it’s a bit dangerous, takes effort and you can get wet when it rains. The 3 people mentioned above are taking some kind of stand cos parking used to be free and now they’d have to part with all of 10 quid a month.

    Viva la revolution!

Pupil Distance (PD) is the thing that’s stopping me ordering at the moment.

Get someone else to hold a ruler up to your face and measure it – that’s how my optitian did it. I also took note of what he wrote down and got my missis to try it to check we’d get the same number – we did.

you did it wrong its extremely easy to batter someone while they are in or trying to get out of a car

Why not just shoot them on the off-chance they might give you a slap?

if the opportunity arises grab the keys out of the ignition

Aggravate them – good idea. Ever actually done this?

i’m amazed how passive you people seem to be

Many people aren’t all that aggressive.

If it was needed, you wouldn’t have a choice.

Took 8 weeks of shit Doctors to not sort mine & a referral to a physio who said it clearly needed plating to get mine done – the 1st time.

The second time I insisted on having it done, but due to where the break was it wasn’t a goer and they also wanted to leave it for ages to see what happened even though I gave a pretty good rant about my previous experience 🙂

    I’d get it done.

wake up screaming when the meds wear off

Unfortunately all too true, but I’d still get it done. Had my plate out due to it (I think) contracting in Winter and causing pain, but delayed it for a year because of the norty voice at the back of my mind telling me they’d give me some ace drugs again! When the voice went I was ready to be smacked up

My local gym has no joining fee – £10 admin fee payable on joining though. Was told I couldn’t join without paying it. Obviously I pointed out this meant it was a joining fee and even kindly offered to do the admin for them so I wouldn’t have to pay the joining fee.

    They declined.

So I payed it; I didn’t have a problem with paying it, I just don’t like being lied to.

When I got bored and could no longer stand going there I told them to cancel my membership and they said I had to put it in writing.

I told them there was a £20 admin fee if I had to put pen to paper

They declined to pay it. Wonder if I’m still technically a member?

If anyone happens to have a knackered 661 Strike please flog me the liner 🙂

Not a removeable part apparently (so not replaceable) and I used to remove it regularly for washing will no ill effects – until I lost it.
