Only had one hole that wouldn’t self-seal so far; too close to the bead I think cos it was only a few mm. 1st go with the “worm” was a dismal failure, 2nd go I followed the instructions 🙂

Having done a few reasonable sized drops and a fair bit of rough riding since I’m amazed it hasn’t popped out.

You won’t be to too badly off with the tracks at Switchbacks on that bike as it is; only a few of the descents are properly bumpy and you get enough recovery time.

One of those frames came up on ebay a couple of weeks ago (& failed to sell) – I was sorely tempted to buy it, but I’ve got a similar kinda bike already that’s a but more modern so it probly would have just ended up an ornament.

I was thinking of trying a fitting to see if it could help the achilles tendonitis I was suffering from, but didn’t want the full monty so it seemed a bit pricey.

Instead I tried wearing an extra pair of socks and, hey presto! job done 🙂

I’ve got a set of berms I really struggle to ride fast…..8 of them in a row with little to no straight between them and a total height loss of about 30-40m from first to last.

    Sounds like Fineshades??

    Edit: Probly not this

    dragging the whole way down

I’ve got pretty much the same prescription as you, OP, and have been using fairly standard plastic framed Cebe sunglasses for years (as that’s what my optician stocks).

If you can live without a brand you haven’t heard of you might find there’s a load of options available.

I find ball end types more prone to rounding out but this product desc says “Hex-Plus profile prevents rounding out.” It that real or marketing?

Don’t use the ball end often, the other end is a bit of a funny shape and seems to be the selling point, couldn’t vouch for how good v others, but they’re way better than the bog standard ones they replaced.

Just finished knocking together a whippet here; I am a fan of sturdy bikes so it seems a bit take-the-piss-light ATM, but I’m sure I’ll get used to it :).

BB Mount, think I’ve got one in my junk spares bin if you want a used one.

Out of interest how much did you pay for the Enduro frame?

    Deafening hardcore trance.

Honestly, for me, it would be some kinda of nauseatingly repetitive techno. Proper uplifting happy hardcore would do nicely.

Lose the reverb/belly/entire thing and get a stoopidly light, horrible to ride rigid singlespeed xc bike with carbon everything (yes, including saddle).

    Is weight really that important?

Not on this one, saw him a couple of years ago and it was a bit weak; predictable nob & gay jokes and not worth the 20 it cost. Was ok, but not VFM.

I would if it weren’t for not being able to ride for four weeks (so far) with a bust up knee).

I see, keep up the good n+1 planning while you’re down.

Hmmm… knee injury sounds familiar from FB – Rob what rides a BFe with Wakerley Wheelers?

Quite a lot of GT black is spent riding up a down escalator.

Warning to pussies lazy mamils: Avoid GT black as it requires putting in some effort.
