Not Brian Blessed, how anyone can have so much adoration for shouting is being me.

Exactly my take. BB is quite an amazing guy, but I wouldn’t want to be stuck in a lift with him.

    I’m in.
I’m not particularly chubbly, but I am particularly unhealthy. This will assist my lifestyle change :)

    I’m very much in!
Might be 2/3 months for me; drinking was far too frequent last year.

Don’t know what its like elsewhere but there seems to be an unwillingness to take it

The pensioners of north west London are mad for it! :D

Quite a lot of them can see being able to get out of their houses at some point in the future and are quite keen for it to happen.

those already jabbed will now return in 12 weeks

“They have advised that the second dose of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine may be given between 3 to 12 weeks following the first dose, and that the second dose of the AstraZeneca (Oxford) vaccine may be given between 4 to 12 weeks following the first dose.”

Just to pick on this aspect (and to give you a flavour of the task) GP systems (system One and Emis) are location based, so if you have a vaccine hub away from the surgery it will need a different system The Govt has decided on Pinnacle, and a different system Oracle in London (I’ve no idea why) No GP uses Pinnacle, it’s a pharmacy system, so no one trained, we don’t know how it communicates with Sys. One and Emis, or whether it even does. There’s no clear way of getting both Laptops loaded with the correct programme, and people who’ve got any idea what they’re doing with it trained…

Pinnacle is web based, so no issue there. As long as it can take the load of simultaneous users. It’s also a piece of piss to use this module.

We were told Sonar (in NW London) to begin with – was under the impression everyone would be using Pinnacle.

Have been told it communicates with Sys1 & Emis, but am yet to try to get anything out of Emis to see if it’s doing it.
Could be worse; it was originally mooted that we’d have to do our own input system, which would have meant me knocking up something shonky. And that definitely wouldn’t have spoken to another system :)

The flight attendants thing might be helpful – I’ll suggest it. Since we’re near Heathrow it could be a goer.

When you say experienced is that a loose use of the word?

The rules (at least for this) say you can be a vaccinator with zero clinical experience if you’re overseen for the first 3.
    I think :) I’m getting a bit weary…

I think his point was those on furlough could be standing around freezing and wet in a car park for the good of the country

You know, like Lord Kitchener would want people to do :)

I’m currently 8-8 every day in a vaccination centre in Ruislip – it’s going really smoothly.
Loads of compliments on how well organised we are.

It’s a bugger trying to find volunteers to do marshalling & greeting.

you sure they didn’t sneak a COVID vaccine in ? That’s supposedly smarts a bit !

Not for me or the 14 others I witnessed having it today (one a 97 year old lady; our area’s first victim sucess story) . Bit of a scratch on the way in, nothing on the way out.

What kind of paragraph formatting is used there?
I’ve heard of hanging paragraph (or hanging indent), but that’s t’other way round and it’s new to me.

    Hanging outdent??

But here’s the rub. After securing the vaccine in principle, they’re going to **** up the distribution and delivery because they are inept and they’re going to tender out a lot of the logistics to their corner-cutting, bullshitting mates.

    You’re just making that up.

On the run up to the election I started following Trump on Twitter. Yeah I know it’s bad for health and I limit my time on there but there’s many that proclaim (I expect including him) that the number of his followers is in some way reflective of his popularity. Personally I’m only there for the freak show that is his and his disciples (further) descent into madness. And I suspect many of his followers are also there to antagonise him and his supporters.

Same here, but I haven’t limited my exposure and got totally hooked on the ridiculousness. I don’t know I’ll do when he’s ousted.

Maybe I’ll collate all his nonsense into a self-help manual entitled “Quotations from The Shitgibbon in Chief” which will become known as the Little Orange Book.

    Accurate summary.

I quite enjoyed the same questions being repeatedly asked by those who didn’t bother reading through the chat.

Hopefully they don’t entrust the tracking of who’s had/needs what jab and when to the work experience kid running Excel from 2008

I’m currently setting up the tracking for my local area – doing it proper, like.

And, yes, Excel will be involved :) Of course it will – the NHS is powered by spreadsheets!

I was quite appointed about the 1st series – watched it all 4 times.
Sadly, the 2nd season, so far, sees me less than whelmed.

I recently got a substantial dried in tomato sauce stain out of my carpet using Troubleshooter 1001 and the scrubber attachment of a steam mop.

    From MCTD’s link:

Mersham used to be a 20-minute walk from Sevington. Closure of the path for construction work means it’s now an almost 4-mile (6.4-kilometer) drive.

So now they can get there faster as it takes less time to drive 4 miles.
And ‘they’ say there are no positives to Brexit!

How are my mental gymnastics doing today? 😁
