They’re a bit uncomfs for uphill (seated) pedalling, but you probly wouldn’t be doing much of that with them on, I guess.

the last linky that someone put up for a Dare jacket – I bought one. Lovely looking and dead cheap. The black one with white zips… anyway, quality is rubbish. Fit is good though (except the hood). breathable isn’t the word, it’s like a string vest and now after only 4 rides the velcro is destroying the fabric around the cuffs.

Some of the more strict technical regs only apply to UCI ranked races. eg fat tyres on cross bikes: not allowed greater than 33mm at a UCI race, but you can have whatever tyre you want at a BC race

It might depend who’s in charge and how seriously they take themselves. When I was in the Boys’ Brigade there was one referee from another company who used to stop football games if anyone’s jersey wasn’t tucked in or their socks had slipped down. The game could be restarted once ALL FIFA rules had been complied with.

Anyone found to not be wearing shin-pads wasn’t even allowed on the pitch/sent off if discovered once play had started!

When I contracted at the evil AT&T our manager & the girl who kissed his ass & did no work were the only perms in our “team” of 10. Come bonus time he gathered us into an office to tell us about the profit share the perms would be getting whilst the contractors got nothing.

He claimed he was told he had to!
Which could be true, but he was a **** and I wouldn’t have been too surprised if he’d just done it to piss us off. Either way someone made the decision…

Also, after many months of much hard work (some of the most productive being on 2/3rds of what some of the less able were getting paid) we were told a perm position had opened on our “team” and and that existing team members couldn’t apply!

What a **** way to run a company! Nearly everyone I knew there hated the place and got shat on daily, but there were financial rewards that kept them taking the shit they were given.

No pics – have VW Caddy which is ply lined, but that doesn’t count for much. I just use a single bungee attached to the metal work to hold the bike to the side of the van; often have one on each side. Can fit 2 DH bikes (just) like this with all kit dumped inbetween them.
