How techy/droppy/over-the-bars-y is the conti trail? I notice it gets given black. I’m considering it for a solo trip in a couple of weeks, along with Penmachno/CYB.

It’s not really any of those. I think there’s one drop in the middle of nowhere, otherwise it’s double track and nice scenery extension to the summit trail, so black for the effort required to get round.

Summit is nice mix of man-made singletrack and farm tracks/fire roads.

I’ve been using a Bialetti Brikka for a while – a stove top that works at about 2x the pressure of a regular one. Bit pricey, but it produces crema and the difference in taste is noticable.

Never happened on my Egg Beaters, I’d suggest changing to something reliable.

Happened to me with egg beaters a few weeks ago; had only serviced them once in seven years, so I may be culpable.

I’ve found these tyres to be a bit of a mare!

Washing up liquid with a spot of water to form a thick slimey seal and pushing the tyre flat around the valve area whilst pumping furiously did it for me. Eventually 🙂

Formatting can’t be applied through functions/formulae.

Conditional formatting is what you’re after.
A formula =A1<>”” (for instance) applied to any cell & conditionally formatted will change the formatting of that cell when A1 isn’t blank.

Very powerful tool, espesh. since it was updated in 07 – very complex formulae can be applied and it can get stupidly confusing.

38:15 for home turf – S.Leics, so not challenging
38:16 for rides I don’t know – N’Hants has some pretty steep bits
28:16 last time I foolishly rode SS in Wales.

Also use Wales gear for riding in snow at home as I couldn’t move otherwise 🙂 That’s when a mud tyre on the back really helps.

3ish up Telegraph/Rangers – I prefer it, but most would think I was insane.

Descent time – very variable and dependant on your abilites, luck with punctures and tollerance for lactic acid build up.

I’d do the most part of Rangers in under 15 mins if I didn’t have to stop now and again to ease the burning in my quads
So call it 20 – 30 mins and then another 30 for Telegraph Valley and getting back to car.

Edit: FWIW I’ve not done it early doors, quite into the evening descents.
