I got some carbon ritchey wcs (xc type) bars 2nd hand off here for a decent price, they are a little bit easier on my hands on long descents and have a pretty noticable flex whan climing – not that they feel bendy, just soft – there’s defnly some give.

This is whilst climbing mountains singlespeed though – I am pulling proper hard on them

Just the kind of thing I was thinking; I know of someone who did this all round his own property (all by himself, with no prior knowledge!) No idea what differnece it made, so will have to pursue and see if I can get to chat to him. Also no idea if this is a normal course of action, but if it could be done at not too great an expense it might be a solution.

Rangers Path is a top descent and attracts far fewer walkers than Llanberis even though it has much better scenery.

I had similar occasionally with a pair of Domains with a medium spring, switched to a soft one and it didn’t happen again.

I was told it was caused by death grip, but I know it wasn’t.

i think you’d need planning permission to turn it into a garden.

I tend to use Rock & Roll and a towel every few rides if not too grubby or a hose down (not high pressure) and scrub with Fenwicks first if needs be.
