Mudshark – found the arrangement below to be tight, whether or not it's the right way?! The large loop encircles a helmet 'rib' ("for her pleasure…") & strap won't loosen unless the outer plastic tab is moved.

There's been a couple on the LUU's Grunty, eg. this and, perhaps more importantly, this.
I got a set a couple of weeks ago, but will only be trying them out tomorrow night. Testing in pitch dark while walking, they seem fairly bright (but don't set the hills aflame!), & construction seems good quality. You don't get a 'carry-bag' though, just a velcro strap to tie on the battery, which seems a little lacking. Will try & post up my riding impressions after tomorrow…
A lot seems to ride on what you need vs. expectations; being my first set of lights it looks ok so far.

Have a look at this thread, relates to Flickr but should work with phbucket… Many of the guys on here using flickr, seems to be the most convenient hosting site.

+1 for 'Ringu', or the Japanese ring – mostly quite dull but the final 'coming to visit' scene had every hair on my body trying to escape! Something to do with her movement; primeval fear.

Fenix quality is really top-notch. Got a TA-21 for use on and, mainly, off the bike. Useful for its range of brightness, but probably too heavy for serious use. Using the velcro straps from the lock-block holder to tie it to my helmet ( 😳 ) & it's solid. The L2d looks better for helmet purposes, & around 110 Ln looks v. useful with my torch.
You might find this thread interesting re helmet / bar combos.

It seems folks enthusiasm is a bit dampened today;

So here's another couple of the lovely Maja –

Definitely ticks all the boxes, except 'surname pronounciation'.

really minor one I know, ever so petty. But people that sit at traffic lights with their foot on the brake

Not petty @ all crazy-legs; those new volvo estates LED brake lights are horrendous, behind one last week & actually needed to shield my eyes.

AndyP – you've never got back to find a fruit smoothie covering the bottom of your bag? hard in the bottom, soft in the mouth (as my old dad used to say)… Meaning the bag, obviously.

Some Gore-Tex Army Trousers which, at that price, can be altered to suit your preferred cut…?

I'd pretty much agree, on the basis of my FZ28's software. Haven't got round to trying the 'RAW' stuff yet (though that looks rather more in-depth), but the 'Panorama' section's worth putting on, if only for the 360 degree function, which didn't come with my wee Finepix.

Dad enquired why was I still awake so late at night? Having had Ready Brek for supper, told him I was waiting for the glow to come….

Last week seems so long ago now.

I've recently become a fan of the 2007 Halls-Polish ladies MTB team…

Maja Wloszczowska (ab-so-lutely gorgeous…)

And Ania Szafraniec for them who prefer lighter colouring..

I am entirely under-qualified to post anything 'for the lay-dees' 😉

Always end up driving 4 hrs south for xmas, then back & 5 hrs north for new year, then back, & falling out 'cos we're both stressed at having little R+R time. The way it falls this year, we'll still do the driving but for only a couple of days at each parents, whether it's on 'the' days or not, & get some down-time at home with friends / bikes! (avoiding the town centre like the plague!)

Looks like a result considering the weather being suffered all around!
Hope I'll be able to lend a hand in the unlikely event there's a dig day on when I'm visiting relatives in Ramsbottom…

Doesn't look like much, but the cd cover had those ridges on that made the images move as you tipped it back & forward – 3 or 4 others in the gatefold of a more interesting, contortional nature.
Tool cd art – doubles the value of the album every time.

Not that your skills will need improving, but the Dirtschool DVD's quite good for a watch; inherent interest for mountain bikers.
Earthed series is good, though the music can sometimes grate.

It's amusing how it is common place to make fun of people riding uphill slowly and disappear into the distance leaving slower riders behind, but doing the same to slow descenders is usually a taboo subject

I see your point re climber-nazis S, it's unsporting & demoralising. But be-littling slower descenders a taboo subject…. I don't hang around DH runs or well known descents much, but almost every time I've been down spooky wood there's a pack of hardcore DH-rig riding robo-cops just itching to intimidate the next anxious rider. They've probably never heard of Innerleithen.

it's the achievement… or is it just me?

I'm with you there – carried over from a few road years I think; beating a climb, technical or grinding or both, is as satisfying as a quick, incident-free descent (combine the two for maximum buzz)

What a coincidence – I'm at a cousins 30th in Kyle (of Lochalsh) on Saturday; might take the hardtail & do a little exploring on Sunday… 🙂
Had no idea about any trails at Kyleakin.

For an overall album;
Lateralus – Tool
or
Ghost Reveries – Opeth
or
Angel Dust – Faith No More

Well gathered David – looks like the STW Trailguide mentioned above could do with some updating.

AndyF1 – I'm sure Balblair is 1/2 of the Kyle of Sutherland trail, along with Carbisdale.

EEwww, I feel strangely light-headed…

If I had a bash guard I'd hit it off 1 particular step on the 1st half of GTress black (goat track??) – it'd save me some bent / broken teeth. 💡

Do a wee search on it up above, David – good course, quite tech but not much in the way of facilities. I'm unsure if it's open all year (hope so, want to go again before new year)
There's also a fair bit to be had at Aberfoyle I believe, haven't ridden there myself though (marshalled at a wet round of the Scottish XC, & they seemed to find plenty of variation!)
