When I was in France last year touring for 3 months I saw a heck of a lot of Dacia’s on the road.
When I returned home I looked them all up for an NCAP rating, not one of them gets more than 3 stars. That’s pretty bad by todays standards.

This site is one of the best for looking for routes in France, https://www.utagawavtt.com/

Only website based. If it’s trail riding with a bit of CwmCarn then the Jeffsy. The Capra can be a bit of overkill for most riding.

If I was sending something that value in the notes to the courier I would put proof of identity.

When you’re walking down the pavement and a gorgeous 25 year old blond with her mother passes you and you fancy the mother.

Honda are also closing down their factory in Turkey at the same time.

Also on top of this Honda Japan will have cut it’s production for the Japanese market by 24% between 2017 and 2022.

Car sales in Japan have been falling for some years because of the ageing population.

It will only be worth thinking about when it can survive British riding conditions, everywhere it’s been tested so far looks very parched.
If it can still shift with leaves and mud stuck to it and a chain that sounds like it has grinding paste running through it then maybe.

As long as most of the internal width is covered you’re good to go.

Just measure the internal width of the rim.

I run a Nano on the back with a Resolute on the front both tubeless.

I always like to compare what someone who knows how to ride as apposed to the fashion of the day, probably because of riding MTB’s for the last 34 years and seen some strange things come and go.
Take Sam Hill 5’9″ he is riding a slightly smaller frame than the OP’s girlfriend, 15mm less reach.
That tells me maybe the bikes too big for her body shape, longer reach with a slacker head angle the front wheel is moving away from her too far to get grip on the front tyre.

This might be of interest to you, we travel mostly France and Spain for about 3 months of the year. We stop mainly on aires which are mostly free or up to 10 euros per night, most european countries have them, France over 9,000. Most have basic facilities fresh water, tank emptying.

This is the website I use, https://www.campingcar-infos.com/index.php
Go to ‘aires camping car’, then ‘chercher une aire’ comes with all of europe pick a country and go from there.

Some years ago I hired one but then I bought one for touring Europe, left hand drive.

Best thing to do is google ‘camping car hire france’ and see what turns up, there are also a few websites that put you in touch with private renters.

So what tyres and pressures are you using, if it is the original 2.2 I’d be in the low to mid 20’s.

What size was the Four, only if it was too sit up and beg that says that the top tube was too short for you, but you say it was too big.
I’ve ridden MTB’s for 34 years and have yet to demo one.

I have Nanos on my gravel bike but I’ve swopped the front out for a WTB Resolute 42, much better grip for wetter conditions.

I have a Magic Mary 2.35 which measures up bigger that most 2.4 tyres and a 2.4 Mountain King on the same rims, the Mary is the bigger of the two by 3mm.
Had them for about 3 years without a problem, I’ve run the front as low as 18psi over rocky terrain without issuses, the rear I usually have between 23-25psi.

I used a Magic Mary on the front riding Wendover a couple of weeks ago didn’t have a problem.

Keeping pressures low helps lets the tyre flex more, I had 19psi in mine.

I’m using a 40mm Nano on the back with a 42mm Resolute on the front on 23.5 internal rims they both blow up to 44mm. I’m running 24psi front and 27psi rear, I weigh 61kg.

I’ve run these pressures over various terrain tubeless with no problems, even rode a rocky Enduro course in France.
