I’ve never posted a review on Merlin, but if I don’t see variable reviews I question the authenticity of the highly positive ones.

A Bird Aeris AM 160 would be my choice, top customer service and spec what you want.

Adding 10mm to the forks and useing a -1 degree headset will slack the head angle by just under 1.5 degrees, the change on the seat tube will less than a quarter of a degree slacker. The drop in reach will be less than 3mm, not noticeable really.

I increase fork travel by 10mm and installed a -1 deg Works headset on my Commencal Meta, improved the whole riding experiance.

The new Hans Dampf 2.35 does come in Speedgrip. But it seems that at the moment it only comes as original supply to bike manufacturers.

I’ve seen them on the back wheel of Cubes.

Probably people out there who have tried them but can’t have nooky anymore.

One of them was running 23psi front and 28psi rear with 71kg rider on 2.35 Magic Mary/Hans Damf combo.

They will probably give you more weight. I was reading this week that the Cube Enduro team had gone from 30mm down to 25mm, saving weight and a better feel to the tyres. You don’t need anything bigger than 30mm for those tyres.

Fashion can make you spend your money faster than antthing else.

I’m curious why the thread was closed I see nothing in it that could cause offence or legal issues.

When Mods do this I wish they would explain why in a closing post, just to stop all the speculation.

It’s either that or Wiggo is a secret Mod.

I also wish Froomy a speedy recovery.

Even thin tights nowdays seem to have disappeared off the market, bibs seem to be as rare as hen’s teeth.

DHB used to have thin tights, I have two pairs but alas no more.

It will grow after a day or two just being inflated, after a few rides it will grow even more, mine are 44mm at the moment.

First the mushroonm industry has never put out ‘wash before use’ that is a supermarket stipulation for their labels.
Second if you went to a non organic mushroom farm you probably in nearly all cases could not find a single chemical used on the mushrooms, I for years didn’t use any directly onto the mushrooms before being certified organic.

Get your tape measure out, then take away the clearance, me I’d want 10mm either side for mud not grinding the frame down, plus you have to remember as the tyre gets wider the circumference gets bigger.

As a mushroom grower of some 40 years supplying supermarkets with 3.5 tonnes of organic mushrooms per week, I can tell you that there isn’t any reason to peel them, or wash them, just wipe them if they have any loose particles on them.

There is nothing on them to harm you and peeling them is just throwing good food away, in fact we in our family have never even wiped them.

I use a Vivosport, it’s pretty accurate it tracks within one or two beats of my Polar m450 when out on the MTB or gravel bike. Once in a while it drops out for a minute or so, it’s worst feature is stairs climbed, the wind seems to affect it a lot.

To make these type of watches measure correctly I have found, make sure there isn’t any hair under the sensor, need to shave, and I wear it on the inside of my wrist. If I put on the outside it’s all over the place but then I found the Scosche I have was worse on any place I put it on my arm.

I can’t see with your height you would want anything smaller, I’m only 165cm with a 79cm inseam and the small would be spot on for me, but I would change the stem to a 50mm, that’s what I have on my gravel bike which has the same geo to the Arkose.

My Resolute 42mm on a 23.5mm rim at 25psi is 43mm, but a Nano 40mm on the same rim is 44mm, Nano on the back Resolute on the front.

I’d measure the frame and forks to see how much room you have before commiting, tyres come up different sizes than is on the sidewall plus on different width rims.

Get your tape measure out and measure the clearance you already have and work it out.
You need at least 5mm clearance and preferably 10mm for wheel and tyre flex and mud clearance.

Also why do you want wider tyres?

If you want to know about the real size of different tyres plus the rims they were on, this is a good site, in German though, but it’s readable.

I’ve been using Stans for years, just switched to the racing Stans. This week I used it in my 700c gravel tyres, it looks better than the standard product, lots more filaments in it, you can only put it in with the tyre off the rim, but I’ve always done it this way.
Still have the standard Stans in the Meta probably going to change it over this week.

But the percentage of respondents was amazing according to the radio

    UK 0.02%
    Germany 80%

I think the fact is that 80% of Germans who responded wanted the change done away with.

I read in a French paper, in a poll 84% said they would like to see the back of it.

There are no such things as Winter or Summer tyres, there are on the other hand tyres for conditions.

That is the maximum pressure no matter what tyre you have on it, it’s an off road rim, never had more than 28psi in mine.

I would have a look at the Pole Taival.

In the mid 50’s there was this, well before the MTB https://www.rsf.org.uk/about-us/history-and-beginnings.html

They are still there over 60 years later. In the mid 80’s used to see them about when we were out on MTB’s.

Friend of mine has his name down for a Tesla 3. He’s always leaving the house with a flat battery in his phone, all his friends think the same thing is going to happen with the car.
