They all look the same! Apart from maybe the skinny tubes of the Cotic.

I was in the Halfords in Huddersfield once (as a customer) and a bloke wheels his bike in – he needed some cables so had just ridden to the store. The bike he was pushing was a Brooklyn Machine Works (BMW) MiniLink full bike. To say I was gob smacked was an understatement. Had a quick chat with him while I fawned over his bike. Spectacularly rare and to see one where I did just seemed so bizarre!

Use a strip of metal such as an old pannier stay. Use it with maybe a hole drilled in each end to effectively drop the mounting point of the mudguard down to tyre level.
    Don’t have a pic unfortunately.
Use stainless bolts to mount either end to stop rust, with Nyloc nuts too to stop then shaking loose.

What about drowning kittens in the aforementioned stream ?

Shouldn’t be a huge problem as far as environmental law goes as long as you pull them out afterwards.

However the RSPCA might be knocking at your door:

If my cat shits in a stream have I broken the law?
    POSTED 2 MINUTES AGO # REPORT-POST

No. But if you collect all the poop up for a while, maybe add in the cat litter that’s comes with it, then decide to chuck it in a stream rather than in a bin then you will have.

I chuck the wood pellet cat litter in the brook that runs under my house. Am I a sinner?

If you define “sinner” as committing a criminal offence as described in section 12 and 38 of the Environmental Permitting Regulations 2010 then, yes you are.

I don’t like the look of it, but personally I’d never buy a bike with a dent in it. I’d wait for another to come along in better condition.

I used Verticals a while ago and quite liked them.

However I went with the crowd and got Gatorskins for my road bike. Don’t know if its the roads round here but they always felt super sketchy, slipped in corners, horrible in the wet. Sold them and went back to Rubino Pro tyres.

I’ve been with BG for ages now. I keep looking to change it but everytime I do there doesn’t seem to savings on offer which offset the faff and hassle enough to make it worthwhile. For example if I am in debit, say during winter, I have to pay off BG to go elsewhere. And if I’m in credit I get a nice cheque but then after a few months at the new supplier they will put up my monthly direct debut as I’m not in credit enough to take me through the winter.
BG provide an app to do meter readings, track my usage accurately, give me nectar points when I give a reading. Never had any hassle and nothing but great service.
Sooooo what I have done is stay with them and make a concerted effort to NOT USE AS MUCH ENERGY! That’s probably saved me many more times over in my bills than switching suppliers every few months could do.

I think my Superstar Nanos are great and would recommend them. However I am thinking of changing them as I am finding that they are a bit too big for me. Very rocky round my way and with a low BB on my Pitch I am forever clattering them on rocks, more than the V8’s I had before. Even so they have stood up to the abuse very very well so will probably leave it a bit longer.

If you don’t get any takers I may be able to post you one from up here in Leeds. I go past the Leeds one everyday so could pop in. Obviously you’d have to pay postage etc but it’s cheaper than a 200 mile drive!

Both really, probably would like to be out of retail but it’s difficult.
From what I understand Head Office visual merchandiser is a lot different from store VM, no idea if people make that leap if it’s as big as I understand.

Just checked out Endura one, looks exactly like the Giro one. Looks a good price too.

I’ve got 2 Giro ones and I really like them. Enough space for a helmet and a couple pairs of gloves and sunglasses in a soft case.
Like the evoc ones as they might have a bit more storage but haven’t seen them in the flesh as it were.
Someone was selling a Giro one on here for £17.50 which seems a good deal.

This won’t help but Virgin told me that my BB speed is being increased for no extra charge. I only have their basic service but going up to 60mb from 30mb will be nice. 😉

All they’d have to do is remake the XC and bulb hubs and they’d be onto a winner.

I have always been a fan of the standard M and S underwear especially as I get a discount. Thought expensive ones were a waste of money and you were only buying a label.
However I won a pair of Armani pants once, I think they cost about £45 new, and they have been the best I have ever owned. Supremely comfortable, wash perfectly even fine in the drier. Took a very long time to wear them out too. So I’ve started buying expensive ones when I see them on offer.

You want to try restoring retro bikes. Got one of the first DMR Trailstars ever made and it’s been months waiting for bits to become available. Not a question of money a lot of the time, just waiting for a part to come up for sale. Needed a DMR saddle and I even went to DMR themselves who had a hunt in the dusty corners of their website to find me a NOS saddle.

I don’t know why I’ve never bought some of these in the 25 years I’ve been riding but my MIL (who is ace) bought them for me this year. Result!

Wouldn’t trust him at all as a seller, and I was really interested in that Stumpy frame and forks too. Wouldn’t touch it with a barge pole now.

The colour won’t make it look retro, it’s what you build it with that’s more important.

But as long as you don’t use any of those horrible primary colour gaudy computer techno graphics that every modern bike is plastered in you’ll make a good start. 😉

apparently “good condition” is normally more or less code for “infested with bears”, “needs a dustpan and brush to get it off the driveway” “haunted” or “currently on fire”.

    ROFLMAO! 😀

It’s a later model Kona Dog Collar, modified to run a v-brake.

My Spesh FSR has the same issue. Shifting to smallest cog makes it a load easier to put back wheel in. Don’t think there’s much else you can do TBH.

Nope, full nut and bolt restoration, about £900 in the end.

If it’s a recent ish model I would have thought the extra cost in having it repaired properly by Apple would be outweighed by it being easier to sell on later. Might be worth asking Apple to check their prices anyway.
If you think you might keep it for a long time it might not be as much of an issue.
