    Same headset, half the price at on one

    http://www.on-one.co.uk/i/q/HSFSOMX/fsa_orbit_mx_headset

    Got to be white I presume?

    And it matches the stem and bars!!

    Surely you can find some purple bars to match. Please. ;

    Hmmm… SPDs or flats?

    There’s a guy who races in the SouthernXCs with a prosthetic arm. Don’t know who he is but he’s not last!

    Check Merlin and on one prices. Cheaper than CRC and faster delivery. Have fun.

    It’ll start getting expensive if you need to change bars as well. From the photo they are 25.4 bars.

    Fitting a full new headset is easy if you’re confident. Search YouTube for video guides or the lbs will fit (and charge you maybe £10).

    You might be able to just get the bearings replaced to keep costs down and doesn’t need difficult installation skills. Is there a make on the headset?

    For the stem make sure you get right length and angle unless you want to change the ride which is more complicated to discuss. Any same stem will do and white does look good.

    Try it against a black wall. Too much red…

    When you say ‘ runs ok apart from granny an 2’ do you mean the chain won’t go onto those cogs? If so your chain sounds too short. Are the new and old chainsaws same teeth size? How did you measure the chain?

    But it depends… 2 slices is a round of sandwiches; 1 slice is a round of bread.

    And rolls go with soup not slices ;)

    Awesome I think applies here. Mad but awesome.

    Now there’ll be loads of others who slept out last night popping up just to spoil it ;)

    You could try pitching it with the bike week people, maybe as extended feature on the one show. At least get CTC or bc involved and get some celebs in. Miss Pendleton always makes good tv…

    I’ve used Park tyre boots several times on smaller tears and they’ve held up well. That looks a bit too big though…

    Try taking her to a spin class. Lots of ladies. Lots of sweat and no one knows how hard or fast she’s going. Maybe she’ll get the idea and start to push it outside as well. And you can get a workout too.

    But the sram website quotes almost identical weights. I went for rebas on my 29er for stiffness and they were available in maxle. Not sure if stiffness is a big issue for bigger wheels and so longer forks but my basic physics says longer things flex more easily. Maybe…

    Yes – that was the advice I got but then I rode at Tokai alone with no issues and met/saw several other lone riders. Did walk near some dodgy characters living in woods near Table mountain though. The forums pretty scary – lots of gun talk – but you have to decide what it feels like there. Never had any issues in Cape Town centre or walking on the mountain.

    Go ask on thehub.co.za – locals very friendly. If you need to hire I used irideafrica who will deliver and suggest routes.

    Ps best to ride with someone esp on Table Mountain for protection…

    When its ‘used as disk drive’ you can just use My Computer to browse the files on the phone and copy to wherever you want. No need for fancy ‘download photo’ wizards! Also better for syncing music and faster!

    Patience is required. It doesn’t need to be dead straight anyway as the top cap against the stem will straighten it as it applies pressure to load the bearings.

    I’ve tried hairspray, starch, artists mount spray and finally spray paint with cable ties and they seem to be holding but still move a little. Looking for lock ons which are bar end compatible…

    The fields at the Gorricks are getting massive and as they don’t grid you need to get to the start line really early to get to the front. It is more fun further back though as you’ll (hopefully) have people to pass for the whole race…

    Laying is quick but its all the fiddly cutting that takes the time. A chop saw helps speed up the easy bits but the rest is painfully slow. Bodies don’t really help as you need to cut each piece as its laid. But they would relieve your bad back! Try to keep doors on unless you know you will have to shorten the door. Skirtings can stay on as well if you use an edging strip which looks fine. And underlay is essential to allow the floor to float as it expands for the room (which reminds me schedule it so you can leave the board in the room for at least two days to acclimatise!)

    I’ve run mine on an fsa, an easton ea70 and a kcnc. All fine. Why didn’t it fit your post? What was wrong?

    I got one on the free one issue with BC membership. Didn’t notice a smell. Looked through it once. Still haven’t read anything in it. Cancelled the sub.

    Much more interesting stuff to read here…

    Try changing your question into maths then solve the equation…

    What is the percentage (P) increase on 150,000 to get 230,000?
    Translates as. P x 150000 = 230000
    P. = 230000 / 1500000

    Don’t forget to keep your equals signs lined up like your maths teacher told you to!
