    Deja-vu!!!!

Same problem this morning. Gave in and ordered one from Merlin for £30.

Still planning on moving them again soon so might be worth it!

Don’t bother. There’s a scary face jump at the end.

    Very childish.

Thanks dirtybike for wasting my time…

Terrible news. He was a real rising star. SA roads and drivers are notoriously dangerous. So sad.

I’m investigating the same thing. Bought daughter an i5 with 6gb which I intend to borrow for video editing work. Hope that’s enough RAM. Planning a desktop with i7 and 8gb if not.

Worst – having my hip removed due to septic arthritis
Best – getting new hip and getting back on my bike

At least now you can start your January detox without temptation. Good luck and get those bikes locked :-)

My daughter made a Whisky & mixed fruit cheesecake from the Hairy Bikers recipe on BBC food for Christmas dinner and it was awesome. Soak the mixed fruit in whiskey them normal cheesecake recipe. Easy.

Very easy job. Sharp knife. Use the yellow block to hold the hose when you cut. Keep it as vertical as possible and it shouldn’t lose oil. Lots of good guides on the net.

You have a local XC series run by Midlands XC. Look on xcracer for a full calender.

Worst year ever. Total hip replacement due to septic arthritis saw no racing at all this year. So four years hard graft to get fit went wasted and am now back to square one. Wife away in Paris most of the time and (surprisingly) missing her. Work is pressure I don’t need so I’m not caring atm so it’s not satisfying.

    2013 will be better…

Just make sure he knows he’s learning something from these experiences.

To watch his mouth at least!

Ha. Remind me why you’re going again please. If you don’t want to pay don’t go. Your choice.

Have a good time. You’ll love it.

Great news – thanks for sharing. Are you still going to be running coached sessions next year?

I had slow punctures from corroded wheels which I sorted with one of those emergency puncture repair kits (latex in an aerosol) and its held so far. Works on your bike so…

Give it to your local school to use in ICT lessons to show kids what a hard disk is and what the insides look like. I have a cupboard full of old kit at school for this and am always after new (old) crap! Where are you?

It’s incredibly motivating. You know the pain will end soo. There are always people around you to chase even when you are being lapped. And your brakes don’t work!

I really hope they don’t signpost everything. Half the fun is getting lost and finding new bits. Some trails do need work but please lets not turn it into a trail centre…

I’ve found it best to let Vegas render in the same format as the source otherwise the effects really slow down the render. Surely Vimeo just converts what its given to its own formats like Youtube does…

So out of all the late 70s/80s bands who is still making new music that is even occasionally worth listening to. Aside from Nick Cave the only good new album from a band of that era is possibly Deacon Blue’s new one

    The Cure

Watched Frankenweenie in Paris last night and it was original dialogue with subtitles in french. Kept reading the subtitles though out of habit!

The only way I feel secure on ladders is to make sure I stand up vertically with my arms out straight in front. Clinging to the ladder closely makes it much worse and standing straight makes you look up more rather than down. It helps to try to lean back – there is no way you will pull the ladder away from the wall by leaning back.

If the ladder base slips back away from the wall it will likely be a slowish fall anyway. And a sideways fall is only caused by overreaching.

It’s quicker if you have some metalwork put in. I rode (uncomfortably) after four weeks with a plate and four screws…

+1 for iGeology – never knew there were so many types of gravel! The 3D version is mental – you point the camera at a mountain and it tells you what rock type it is – very geeky…

The whole tone was wierd. Lots of awkward silences. They seemed to be picking serious subjects with difficult comedy aspects. Like how can you get laughs from Felix’s supersonic jump when he could still die? Lots of old news too, like George Osborne being booed and Ken’s finances. Different but a bit dull.

This government are actually beginnings to make me political. I even thought of joining th Labour Party this morning. Now Cameron is back peddling like mad on this it just shows they are totally out of control as a government. They have no ideology and are prepared to say anything to stay in power. This and the crap coming out of Gove’s mouth about education have really wound me up. They’ve got to go!

And I think abortion is very personal and the decision should be left totally to the people involved. No one wants to go through the trauma. And if you decide to abort your disabled baby then you definitely have good reasons.

Just finished nearly 4 months of non weight bearing on my right leg.

My tips are walk as much as you can on the crutches and do as many leg exercises as you can. Should easily fill at least two or three hours a day with exercise. I trudged nearly a mile every day to get the paper – you will get quite fast after a few weeks. Use your time to keep yourself as fit as possible.

Back up activity was Airfix models to remind me of my youth!

My daughter, then 3 years old, broke her collarbone at a friend’s house. She came in saying ‘Daddy my arm doesn’t work’ as she couldn’t lift it. ‘What happened’, I say. ‘He pushed me out of the bunk bed’, referring to friends 5 year old son. ‘Why?’ I say. ‘I tried to kiss him!!!!’ Definitely looking forward to teenage years now

She was making snow angels one week later. And there will probably be a lump as it heals but it will disappear soon enough.

I had my hip replaced six weeks ago after septic arthritis ate my hip. Been on the turbo for three weeks and planning a quick ride round the block on Sunday. Bit early but I want to prove a point.

Good to hear of your successful recovery.

Are you sure you’ve got the question right then as that equation is a hard one. What course? What level?

    robbo

The wolfram link is solving by ‘completing the square’ because the equation given doesn’t factorise easily. Better to use the quadratic formula in this case. What course ate you studying?

Stretching to relieve it, but core work to fix it. Try to stand up more as well. Mine went almost as soon as I changed jobs to be more mobile all day.

Can’t see him winning though what with no time trials and no mountains.
