Pete, I’m having trouble sleeping too and have started using YouTube sleep meditation videos to bore me back to sleep – just about to put one on now! And your gf will have noticed already and be worried whats wrong so is probably desperate to talk to you too. Just talk :-)

I’ve just started CBT. Went to the gp and really wanted them to tell me to go away and that I was fine but I had a therapy session booked in a week so it doesn’t have to take long. Just starting it has helped. Its about coping with the current situation so you can move on. It won’t sort your problems but you have to be able to cope to fix your problems. My fingers are crossed it works for me. Oh and as soon as you tell people close to you you’ll find loads of your friends have been treated for depression too.

Spookily, I have some spare! Backed my rack into a lamppost so the rack is knackered but the clamps are fine. Make me an offer! Email in profile. I’m in Reading…

I was shocked when the BBC reported that he’d said this in the same sentence as paedophilia and then called for solidarity with other nations against terrorism. The man is a Terrorist himself!

Or use an email app (like Mail chimp) to email to the majority and automatically post the email to the Facebook page. You’re posting the message in the wrong place if your members aren’t using that media. Email it if that’s where your audience is.

I had a total hip replacement 18 months ago – septic arthritis not a accident. I had 4 months with no hip joint at all but was back on the bike 8 weeks after operation. Make sure you exercise your lower leg as much as you can to stop muscle wastage elsewhere. My best exercise was walking in the swimming pool and can be done with minimal weight bearing and as soon as wound is clear. Also Pilates for core strength around your hip.

Still hurts and needs more mobility but got used to it.

Good luck and keep a diary – it will remind you how far you’ve come when you get down…

That’s an OK spec but it doesn’t have a monitor – £255 extra from dell. Cheaper models are available for same spec elsewhere.

Some sections are difficult to pass on but they’re usually very short and if you ask nicely most will let you by easily. Plenty of wide tracks for the fast ones in Grand vets!

You might not want mega performance now but once you get started on video editing you will soon. It’s addictive. i5 at least with as much ram as you can. Don’t go mad on disk space immediately as its the easiest part to upgrade. Set your budget and go to ebuyer as above. Good value and good service.

Didn’t help my career when I took out the lead programmer on my team and he broke his leg as I led him down a quarry wall. Six months off and the project was late and over budget. I didn’t get another project to manage for ages…

Might sound silly but phone Microsoft. I’ve always found them very helpful moving Office licences in the past and the actual software is all download now.

Have they taken bloods to check for infection? Is the area hot? You should be able to touch it – maybe not pressure but touch at least.

I had a hip replacement last year (after loads of infection) and could massage around the scar as soon as the clips were out (3 weeks I think).

Circulation will come back – my foot was swollen for ages!

Kevin Sheldrake was taking photos. Look for him on Flickr – he got some great shots from the Banjo Rampage races so these should be good.

I enjoyed it mostly but all that soft loamy stuff really was hard work.

Whatever you do don’t buy a Lexmark. Eats ink and the WiFi is crap unless you get up and reset it every time which defeats the point. Also doesn’t like being connected by wire and WiFi so gets confused.

Decathlon do a good range well under your budget. 3 sizes and 3 ratings to choose from. Try in shop too! I’d be surprised if you need a 3 season one indoors even in winter…

I think Project is saying it’ll be a nightmare for Dad as he’ll have to join in! My daughter is veggie and I hardly eat any meat now. Try it it’s fine

Not true Nicky. Just back from Woodcote/Checkendon and yes some are a bit clay but avoid the horse driveways and it’s fine still. Pissing down tonight though!

Use the advanced search on soundcloud to search for Creative Commons stuff. You’ll spend hours searching for good stuff but if you go by number of plays it helps.

The best trail – got to be Grims ditch from Carmel College – actually a man made ancient ridge with a twisty singletrack along the top. Ace.

+1 for irideafrica. They will even deliver and pick up the hire bike. Get a road bike too and ride down to the Cape if it’s not too windy. Tokai is good but you may want to do it twice for a few hours. Watch out for baboons!

I try to always just think about the guy in front and concentrate on getting on his wheel. Once there stay there and breathe – following is always easier through singletrack – then pass and then go for the next guy. Of course you have to be able to see the one in front so go like mad at the start to stay with someone. Just getting one overtake is like a win in most races!

Only got one event so doesn’t really seem worth the trip. Anyone want some Hockey tickets?

Can’t help thinking this is a shit process where the people who are real fans and participate can’t get tickets. Surely it would be better to distribute them through the sports governing bodies first.

Why are you doing them up so tight? It only helps when pulling up really hard which isn’t necessary anyway unless you’re a real power climber. Pedalling doesn’t have a side to side movement so they don’t need to be tight. Loosen them!

I did same for my daughter, 13, 5’4″. XS inbred with SIDs and xtr disc brakes. Easy build as its standard stuff unlike the whippet. She loves it. Just got back from double blue loop at Swinley and she wanted to go again. I plan to swap the frame next year to a small.

Try conditional formatting of a group of cells representing the graphic. The number of cells needed would depend on the accuracy needed.

I can recommend the 14″ On Ones. Build up actually quite light. My daughter loves hers – even though its black and says ‘inbred’ on it!

Have you looked at TrailBreak? They do lots of this sort of stuff and might even give you some free advice. Or check out West Drayton MBC who do Bucks Off Road Sportive that was last week. Have you personally done an off road sportive? Just copy what they do…

Alex, the women’s races are all together because they prefer to have the course to themselves and they all race each other that way. We get lots of feedback that they like it. Yes its a long day but this way you can cheer each other on!

Weather forecast can’t seem to make up its mind – changes every time I look!

I’m getting to.like windows 8 after I added a Bamboo Pen & Touch tablet. All the swipe, pinch, zoom stiff works well and I like the Metro and Apps interface for when I’m not ‘working’. It makes a good sit up change to go to the desktop to work hard. There’s some funny boot up shit going on but I think that’s dodgy USB ports on the new motherboard. Try one if you can…

For 20 miles you’ll likely be out for 2-3 hours so unlikely to get dehydrated. Don’t drink too much just before the ride you’ll just bloat – drink well the previous day. Don’t worry too much about tyres either unless it’s wet. Just ride what you’re used to so you know what they’ll do and how far you can push them.
