My caravan is left on a camping and caravan club site just outside Redruth, when we are there it costs £13 per night inc. electric for 2 + awning, our dogs are free. Small “certificated” site which means only a max. Of 5caravans or camper vans at a time. One shower and loo (free) and 10mins from beaches at Portreath and Porthtowan which is
great for an early morning surf so I can leave the mrs in bed. Same price all year too. my daughter,s there at the moment with 2 kids and partner for £17 a night.

I,m back at Redruth on Sat. For the week. last time on the coast to coast trail I went through an old quarry of some sort which looked like it could be fun for a bit of a ride round . Also a lot of bits of Singletrack in Tehidy woods but I.m not sure how much there is there.

I’ve never worn my lid on my commute or when i did a bit of roadie riding and some 10 TT’s ,but do every time on the MTB, After watching helicopter heroes this morning tending a guy who fell off on road going down a hill I think I should start.

It was the same where I work. They have a bike to work scheme but say they are not obliged to provide parking for bikes or cars. luckily since they got rid of the bikes we used to ride for work, we now have a nice bike shed where we can lock our own bikes up…I bought an old Raleigh for £40 just for work.. That’s Royal Mail for you 😯

Yes it does it very well. You could ride round with a nice long tank aerial on your bike like the mods use to on their scooters, would make a very good lightning conductor!!!!! Or borrow one from a church roof.

And we have another Daily Mail reader in the house t’night, you and jamie should get a room together?….. figures, expenditures, actual birth rates please otherwise you are just repeating red top headlines which sadly does you no favours.

. Umm! Don,t really need lots of figures do you? One versus thousands! Can,t see lots of tourism income coming in to see the Jeremy Kyle holding pen.

Why do some resent keeping another royal when we,ll be keeping thousands more offspring of unwanted teenage pregnancies cos they can,t be arsed to find a job??????

To me fun is the most important factor . If you feel that you,d get more from a 26er then that’s right for you. You can always change again later. Don,t be led by what the stw trendies think.

I,m here on a site near Redruth, Surf is flat now for a few days, I had the last bits of swell on Sat, Sun, and Mon. Local beaches are Porthtowan, Portreath and Chapel Porth. Blue bar is a trendy place to eat, drink and watch awesome sunsets. Have ridden Cardinham 3 times now and the coast to coast trail from Portreath to Devoran is a gentle flat ride with a quarry along the way which could be fun. there are some more rides around near Truro but have,nt tried them yet. Looks like being calm tomorrow so am going to try snorkelling around Godrevy where the seals are… Have fun, loads to do when the weather,s like it is now.

I just don,t understand those who can,t/won,t work on their own bike!!!!! It’s not difficult and I don,t ever accept the”have,nt got time” excuse. If you don,t know how, find out!

I,ve found I can get round Swinley blue and red just fine on my 29erHT. Which is handy as I only have one bike and it does all I need.

Daughter number 1 spends all her life up trees, abseiling, getting rad on skateparks end suchlike. Last week we ended up in A&E getting a supected broken knee X-raysed, with her leaving on crutches after…. *drumroll* … falling off the sofa. I kid you not

Binners, she sounds as accident prone as me!!!!!!

bloke I worked with broke both his upper arms falling out the back of a pick up truck and was left in a similar position except he couldn’t even feed himself for 6 weeks.

they had four kids under 6 at the time so you can imagine how popular he was…

Ouch, bet he was. My mrs did get her own back years later though…. I broke a collarbone while racing mini motos. with my son and g/son. She had to have foot surgery 3days later that she,d waited 2 yrs for. So I had to do it all including walk the dogs etc. while hoping the collarbone mended…it did,nt so had surgery 3mths later while still working….big mess.

“Parked” my hang glider in a hillside resulting in concussion and both wrists smashed. Steel pins and plastered up at funny angles amused the wife till she realised she had to be my arse wiper 😯

I used to race the RC Lazers, great fun as they are very robust and its an equal match to everyone else. Gave up as not many would show up in the summer due to sailing full size. If you can find a club nearby to you it’s well worth it.
