They may well do. it’s just very frustrating shopping with them. Surely it must put people off you go to buy then you think I’ll hang off as it might change price next week. Then you end up buying something else similar?

Went 2 years ago, booked with disney stayed at Davey crockets ranch, 2 nights with 3 days passes, this was cheaper than doing it seperate as the passes are really expensive on their own, plus with Disney you get in earlier and free parking, then we drove to le Croix De vieux pont, Euro camp and stayed for 5 days it was great for the kids with a man made beech and great pool. I would do the same again. You just have to take Disney for what it is. Sometimes the ques are big but the free fast passes work well. 2.5 days should see you round both park’s.

I’d recomend the craggy island tri, run by durty events. Beutiful place. and you get to swim to the island. I’ve done it twice now.

2tyred I do a bit of cross racing well taking part! I’m thinking about converting my cross bike to single. Did you
do knockburn a few weeks ago? What gearing did you run ? Do you find you are having to alter the gearing much for the Scottish rounds?
    Cheers

I was thinking about carrying most of my stuff on the bike in my frame bag so I can run a lighter pack/bumbag for the run.

Need to think about just using trainers and not spd as youl have to cary trainers on the cycle. Also need to carry enough kit/food to last the day. I’m torn between my cyclo cross or hardtail? also i take it most of the running will be trail type through bog? and will need a rucksac or belt type running bag

Tea contains caffine too so maybe experiment with it for a bit.
For some reason it seems to affect some people yet others can use caffine gels, tabs to help them in longer events!

I’ve given up the caffeine. Lately too as trying to see if it stops the cramp I suffer from. Have switched to decaff feeling a wee bit two twitchy but no sore heads or anything. Drink about 10 cups a day 8O

Our previous dog was a Staffordshire Bull terrier. Absolutely brilliant in a lot of ways and I would still have her if I had been a single guy. Yes it feels wrong to pay someone a lot of money for a fashionable dog. I will have a look at other breeds. Thanks for the advice so far

Unfortunately she won’t consider a rescue, As we went down that road before, the dog was great with me but got a bit possessive, wouldn’t walk with or even acknowledge the kids or my other half, we battled on for over a year with her but in the end it caused too many problems and we had to return her to the rescue, It broke my heart, so we are thinking of a pup so it grows with the family,

Guys just got myself a set of rollers. I want to start using trainer road.
What is the cheapest option for me to set it up?
I need to buy a speed sensor, Do I need a compatible garmin or can I hook it up to my laptop directly some way?
    Cheers

Hastings direct will automatically cover the old car for 7 days when changing policy.

The yeti is lovely, It climbed brilliantly and just felt really planted on the downs and didn’t feel like it had wagon wheels :D but I don’t think I can justify the cost. it just combined the best of the 2 bikes I have just now.

I bought a light of them recently paid then waited, 2 weeks later I checked the status and they hadn’t even processed my order but took the money, Contacted to see what was going on and they told me the item was on back order and would be another 7-14 days until they received it, communication is shocking from them, I basically wrote back demanding a refund which they processed quickly. first and last dealing with them for me!

We have had a 1.4 hdi sw estate for 6 years. Engine wise it’s great, 145’000 so far. I have replaced the turbo about 10’000 miles ago. Easy job and it was cheap 2nd hand. watch out for the rear axle’s bearings. they are bad for wearing out and a total pain to do, to check for it put your hand down between rear tyre and body and check both sides are evenly spaced and wheel isn’t sitting off camber, also any clonking/banging from rear could indicate it. comms units are bad for wearing out meaning wipers and lights have a bit of a mind of their own. decent to drive cheap tax and great on fuel.

Done this last year. Great route with a bit of everything. Take plenty spare tubes and watch out for the water bars. Good bit of shouldering the bike too. Have fun.

I remember watching Irish real road racing years ago and thinking these guys are mental! Forward a few years and started short circuit racing won a championship, then thought I’d go and give the roads a try, Went to the cookstown 100 was shiting it at the start but absolutely loved it! The atmosphere and craic were brilliant only thing was it ruined my short circuit racing as never got the same buzz, So just spent a couple of years doing The Irish rounds I could afford. Was never going to set the scene on fire but did do okay with small budget. Sometimes things look mental but it dos’nt feel like that when riding as you are just concentrating so hard, Eventually decided to pack it in as started thinking about the kids if anything happened to me, Hence the reason I never done the manx, You have to be a bit selfish to do it if you have family I’m afraid! Saying that I will be back there in August to pit for a mate again. If any of you guys have not been to some of the Irish rounds they are well worth a visit to spectate, Cookstown, Tandragee, Armoy etc are all better than the northwest 200 in my opinion

First time I’ve really looked at this race WOW! big respect to them all out there! Interested how easy is it to navigate a course like this just with a garmin? Also what type are most using? battery life must be a nightmare for so many days?
