Sold my 29er anthem a few months ago and bought a specialized epic. So far so good and enjoying it.
But the anthem was a great do it all bike. Done loads on it over the years from 24 hr races to bikepacking.
That reminds me I have a wildcat frame bag custom made for a medium frame if anyone is looking for one.

Yea obviously you HAVE to do the complete route. And not just adjust it to suit🙄

Yea I know It’s the body that is the problem but these seem really bad compared to loads of other bluetooth headphones. I mean they are designed for running and cycling. Where do you put your phone when running unless you wear an arm band. In your arse pocket on running shorts as it dosn’t bounce much. Where do you put your phone when cycling in rear jersey pocket unless you have a frame bag or tube tube bag. They just seem pretty poor at doing what they are designed for!

Thanks for the replies Guy’s. I’ll try the reset again and hopefully that will sort it. If not then I don’t think I can put up with them so might try and return them.

Another Henry owner here. My mrs sent me to get a new (Dyson) vacum cleaner so instead of buying online I went to the local place that repairs them and sells new one’s Got chatting to the guy who has been repairing for 20 plus years and asked him what the best model of dyson to get, His answer was none of them. Told me the first 2 models were great then after that they were as he put it great for the repair buisness! asked him what he had at home and low and behold a Henry.
The mrs was a little underwhelmed when I took it home but now thinks it’s great.
Most professional cleaners use them so that must count for something!

What gearing do you run to be able to brake on your fixie? I have an old road fixie and there is no way I could stop in a hurry on a decent down hill without a brake?

I have 2 cheap chains the sram ones are pretty good and only £12. I also bought a parktool chain checker. So when one chain is needing a good clean I take it off check the streatch and soak it in chain cleaner/de greaser and fit the clean one, With the reusable split links it takes 5 mins. when I am getting to the wear limit I just replace the chain. 2.5 years dosn’t really mean anything it all depends how many miles you do and the conditions you do them in really.

i have them on my road and mtb as thats what was fitted from the factory. only downside i see is the area on frame/fork where the maxle head/handle would usually be will now get scratched if layed down or placed against a wall etc instead of the replacable maxle taking the damage.

Another vote for the dyna plug. Much better and less gaff than the prong for fitting the anchovie.

Just buy an ebike. seems that what most folk round here are doing. smashing koms with a motor.
Strava Koms are finished now. so just settle on personel records for knowing how you are doing with fitness.

I’ve had this twice in the last 2 weeks from different places. I’ve politely ignored both parties and just carried on.
It probably puts the majority of people off.
I have been respecting the farmers fields access if they have lambing signs up just now.

First time ive used them and the last
ordered brake pads last monday. nothing all week then an email on friday saying they had been despatched its now Wednesday and nothing in post today.
so thats 8 working days if they turn up tommorow. so phoned them. 40 mins on hold and they can’t track package.

    Carbon speed cycle

These carbon speed cycle ones are what I ran on my giant propel for 4000 miles before selling the bike.
They were faultless and only needed a £10 bearing change in that time.
I’ve now got 2 sets of light bicycle rims. one for off road and one for road bike. both been great so far.

just done this last year. sounds very similar to your layout. the result is a great space that opens everything up and a lot more usuable. the dining room was very cramped for anything over 4 people. kitchen was ok but small no seating. so now we have space for family gatherings big table etc.
the downside is that you do get more noise when watching tv etc. smells nare not a problem. and really its only washing machine or dishwasher thatmake noise so just dont put them on when relaxing? i dont regreat it as really has transformed our living space for the better.

I’m in the middle of having my place re plastered after getting rid of wood chip in every bloody room. The finish is brilliant and makes the place really fresh. Honestly those prices seem really good. I had a woodburning stove installed and the chimney breast needs sorting quote was £500 for the room for re plaster and another £500 just for the chimney breast as it is recomended to do it in lime to stop the heat cracking normal plaster. As mentioned above it’s an investment and will be easier to keep tidy or change colours at a later date.

Your prices seem good for 2 bedrooms to be done. I take it that dosn’t include ceilings?
There is a fair bit of work involved as the prep is important.

as stated above just be carefull who you take advice from. I had 2 local companies come and give quotes for what they said was rising damp in 2 bedrooms at the same end of my house. they said oh its definatly rising damp. put a meter on the wall and said they would do chemical injection and line and re plaster. none of them even asked to check under the floor. i was suspicious so asked the house surveyor around. really experianced guy and he had a look and said it was condensation on a north facing cold wall. he got another guy up and first thing he done was to check under the floor for dpm. showed me why it wasnt rising damp and that the best course of action was to diy insulate the outside wall and provide more ventilation. new windows with trickle vents and insulating the wall has sorted it. all done diy. so find yourself someone who gives genuine advice and not just interested in making a quick buck

i got my appliances from diy kitchens too as i couldnt find cheaper. plus when u buy a certain amount of apliances from them you get a discount.
check out worktop express for worktops they are cheaper than diy kitchens thats where i got my oak ones from.
im sure that is where diy get theirs from ?

just took delivery ofmy second set of light bicycle rims yesterday. i paid about 50 dollars shipping. they put the value at £80 for me so customs and vat came to 25 paid to parcel force to pick up. the first set i have set up on my gravel bike and they have taken a fair bit of abuse. plus my wheel builder thinks they are excellent and he is not shy on giving his opinion good or bad..

ive just used it to get an open up frame. we are already signed up for cycle scheme but the gci does not charge a 7% end of hire charge like the others. it only charges £1. so makes a decent difference. i just used the instant option as there are less than 10 bike going to go through it. dead easy and quick so would recomend.
also the bike shop recomended them above cycle scheme.

Also just heard cycle scheme have lifted the 1000 limit hence its a good time to get one.
I’ll get flamed on here for that statement. I do cycle to work nearly everyday they just don’t need to know i do it on a £50 single speed!!!!

It is a tripster atr2 that i have as a gravel/road bike its a good gravel bike but too lardy for club roadie efforts. I use my propel for that. But im more and more convinced to just chop them in for 1 bike so might sell the tripster frame and propel.

    Woodster
A mate of mine has the space chicken and i like it but can only be run 1x and for a capable road bike i would want a double at the front and a rear cassete without the big jumps in gears.
I tried 1x originally on the tripster but hated it on the road.

There is a small quite road from the monkey park at Christianos to la camella. The traffic gets better after La Camella on the way up.
I have done a few routes around there if you want details my email is roblyall@msn.com
Ive used bike point twice now and would recomend them for bike hire.

Loosen clamp some penetrating oil and just ride it. Thats what i done with mine and it was well stuck. Took a good few rides but with your weight and bumps it should strat to loosen off.

Yea agreed on the off road stuff the 650 wins with the wider tyre.
My only concearn is if i ride any long distance road events how much more of a diadvantage is the 650 wider tyres going to be compared to a 28mm 700c tyre?
