Basically it is missing rider tunable compression damping and propedal. The compression damping is not an issue if its set as medium in the factory (how can i check – will it be on the fox site??), propedal would be o, i *think* a push tune is under £100 isn’t it?

It broke where it had been joined in the factory not where I had fixed it. It was initially joined with a powerlink and snapped.on the opposite side of the chain

surely if you do it up too tight and the cup gets drawn in o the thread as Cynic_al claims then the tool would be unable to exit the cup when doing the job?? If it can come out it will go back in.

9 speed chains are not specific direction. If it was my shifting technique it would have happened before to the same extent, i have snapped one chain before and that WAS my fault.
