I had thought that Julian but i think flow rims are about £60 each plus £12 for tape – £132 all in plus a wheel build x 2 (never built wheels before!!)

sorted the rebound adjustor – 2 nuts over the allen key – mole grips to hold them in place. Gentle leverage between the nuts – done :)

    in the process now.

Re the main issue – i think the seal at the top of part 10 on teh diagram may be the issue. There was/is oil between that and the inside of the stanchion (below the seal) – this is not right is it?

mr plow – the red cap came off and the allen key is stuck

Spoke with Loco tuning (simon) this morning, full seal kit for the MICO/rebound side should sort it, along with fresh oil with some luck :)

Just need to now remove the rebound ajustor from the leg where it appears stuck solid!! Any tips?

The 160mm mark was visible all ride.not just if I pulled the lowers down. I think that (as the tech docs say) oil volume is critical, so even if a few ml had passed through the seal then the rebound would stop working. In real terms can you check if the compression damping is working just by pushing down on the bars or does it need to be checked in real ride situations?

Right if you look at the link:
    http://www.sram.com/_media/techdocs/07_RockShox_SPC_Lyrik_B%20Print.pdf

oil was below and above the part maked “14”

    Between numbers 9 and 14
