there could also be another insider line here, that Merc will *NOT* supply McLaren with the new engines in 2014 and concentrate on their works team,
McLaren might have to look elsewhere (renault? PURE? FERRARI!!no chance!!!!!) and be in the midpack for a while until the engine regs bed in – there is a chance that another supplier might come on board, or they make their own….

watch your bikes at Mabie – recent local thefts in car park and at the accomo.

drumlanrig is great if you dont have to pay the 5.50 each to ride there.

if only the previous posts proved that simple @jamie @djglover
the problem is this with my routine goes 1 of 2 ways

up, black coffee -> wait 3 hours -> poo -> run ok pace, then run at above max hr back to house -> more poo

up, black coffee -> run ok pace, then run at above max hr back to house -> poo

for my afternoon its the much more normal

finish work -> long run -> happy smiles

what about overnight timed laxatives? anyone tried those?

so – after 5 years of running not managing to overcome runners trots for morning runs, meant afternoon/evening running….but…i’m going to have to become an early morning pre-breakfast runner again, which has me worried – anyone else have/overcome this problem?

i mean come , just how do you cover ALL forms of cycling + ALL levels of cycling in ALL forms of cycling, in 30mins a week is just going to spread itself too thin. but hey, its a start!!!!

I think under *ALL* circumstances, if you have a phone line to the house, you can always buy a ‘dedicated’ line to be installed and use that for broadband, and you get a guaranteed speed. perhaps you need to look into ‘business’ options from BT and other phone providers (although its still BT that installs it). it may be costly, but if you need the net to work , it might be cheaper than buying fancy equipment for mobiles/sat. broadband.

sat. broadband will only have upload speeds of your CURRENT fastest internet connection, there is NO uplink to the satellite – the data for you then also has to go up to the statalite then back to you and can suffer from a lot of lag, and also when its raining , poor signal!

seems compared to the others too, the rapha one is cheaper, although you can get the others on deals at the moment….

there was a big whoohaaa ages ago about claiming products are waterproof ‘v’ water resistant, waterproof mean ZERO water in, water resistant can be a different measure based up some kind of cubic feet per inches of rain per hour per mm let through the fabric type of thing,
essentially a high water resistance can be almost as good as water proof

i’ve gone right off the bbc and its production of “fact” based programs.
the last panaroma i watched was about ‘the myths of exercise’ (or was it HORIZON?)
after an hour of drivel that could be compressed into a 3min program, it was concluded that actually there is no substitute for exercise and doing these ‘revolutionary 3 min 20 second intervals 3 times a week’ did not boost fitness, health, vo2 max, lower fat levels, or mean you could run a marathon. all it showed was fat in the blood was less than not doing them, indeed going for a brisk walk reduced fat in the blood.

at the end of the day , if they get people out on the bike/walk/run who cares!!!! its better than not doing that, we choose the drink at the vending machine, its still our choice.
and why sports drinks? how is that different than say the cost of a BMW compared to a Skoda ? they both do the same thing, but BMW imply theres is better, quicker, safer, higher quality, better engineered etc etc – wheres that evidence?

they seems to enjoy pulling up/tearing down “fads” rather then actually investigating real problems of the decade, like long term welfare state dependencies, forced subjugation/marriage of women in certain sectors of british society, the boys club that run the financies of this country and politicians who seem to do what the hell they want…until they get caught…
perhaps they need a boost in license fee to do any kind of proper investigative journalism these days

re: Sengakuji shrine +1 from me too.
    palace is nice
get a guide its worth the money and it can give you some places to return to for food etc.
although food is just about great from anywhere
also just dont be scared and get out on your own, its an amazingly safe place and you uncover all sorts
…although be afraid of the guy selling train tickets as they take no nonsense….
if you can, get a bullet train – the ride is awesome as is the countryside. direct to kyoto … is a nice city in the old sections.
there is also – and i cannot quite remember – a world heritage site just outside of tokyo, think i got a train to it, it has those huge RED torii gates and some hikes too…

    have fun – well jealous

if you have sky dish, then you have freesat already, you can indeed pay sky for the viewing card to see all the freesat channels (think its 20quid), but not sure if your SKY box will allow recording, you have to then pay them a monthly fee for the EPG/record, think thats 11quid – but dont quote me, they change all the time, search for
    ‘freesat from sky’

also remember that for freesat twin recording, you usually need 2 inputs from the LNB / dish, freeview i dont think you do, just means you may have to pay out something extra if you go donw the freesat recording box.

imho, freesat / freesat HD is much better for pic quality than freeview unless you have got a super-decent ariel installed.

‘This man is here because he does not want to die. He believes you can give him more life’.

personally if i’d just woke up from a 2000 year old sleep i’d want ‘i’ll go an get the kettle on oh great Engineer, and theres also a few choccie biccies for you too, oh master”

so anyone seen those pics of the production yet that show (yet) another figure dressed in cloth that the SJ’s worship just before he drinks the black juice and disintegrates into our water?

i’m amazed at the sheer amount of explanation the Director & writer are having to give at every opportunity now with this film – its shows that
    a) they didnt write it well
    b) people didnt expect what they were going to see
    c) the director didnt get it across well
and/or the more likely option for me
    d) the studio realized everyone was hyper about the film as it was being made and pushed Scott and Lindhoff to leave it open for either sequels and more prequels and also wanted someone for the geekboys to lust over similar to 7of9 from star trek to ensure some teen fantasy’s – and that led to (a) (b) and (c) !

seems Ridley has changed his mind (or the studio changed it for him) regarding DVD/BLU release :
    extended cut
Perhaps the backlash of the film has prompted him to try and explain at the bottom of the film about the pressures of Studio wanting cash, and him wanting ‘Art’ – anyhows, i would hope the re-cut would be in the latter half of the film that was more disjointed and nonsense.

I really get the feeling that Ridley either got pressured or got the idea to make a sequel while filming the movie, and so the 2nd half and ending got quite compromised….

I think we need to put the race into perspective.

Hamilton got the tyres switched on – bravo – DRS made it easy – not so bravo – but as we have seen throughout its just been the luck of the draw on the day/afternoon/weather/temps with the tyres.
We have seen before, Hamilton Qu’d on Pole, yet race day he’s going backwards , the same happened here with Vettel.
We have seen mid-pack runners win/get podiums on the back of the tyre luck, we had it here too in Canada.

I for one dont think this is ‘real’ F1, and I think behind the scenes the teams and drivers who originally thought they would get to grips and understand the tyres are simply getting upset and frustrated that they perform so randomly during the race.

I suspect in this year of floatation, Bernie is going into the Pirelli factory each night before the races and playing about with some buttons and settings for the compound – exciting means money. ;-)

@andytherocketeer – i’m with you there, RTL really did a bad move there, as for the BBC, yup i found the commentry on the actual BBC Sport webpage, not on program listings, even though it said it was on R5LX – instead boring cricket commentators filling in time talking about their local pubs! I really hate the RADIO commentry on the beeb (and the live one too!)

    slimjim +10 !

one of the lines from the film i almost laughed out at was also in the trailer
?”If you don’t stop it, there won’t be any home to go back to!”
..umm why?? the film didnt make us think the SJ’s were a threat due to the unexplained goo, the unexplained ‘running SJs videos’, the unexplained Theron characters ‘agenda’ , the unexplained reason for the them to destroy us all and actively seek out the last human alive to try and kill her and (as said above) the unexplained reason why they must have come back over generations on earth and left diagrams of where they were…..
