Scott, I wish I could, I think I need to completely purge my system before I can go back to it, its a long a yucky story.

Hasbean looks like a good option, have you tried any of the decaffs ?

    Thanks Nick

But this is exactly what I mean, why is there 20 different types of coffee and one ubiquitous version of Decaff ????

Why can't coffee makers actually do something interesting with decaff ? Is it something to do with the process of removing the caffeine that you wind up with a one size fits all decaff ??

I had a similar problem, it was actually with the external hard drive, it needed to go back to Western Digital and be replaced. Have you got applecare? If so, call them and they'll sort you out. They are excellent, but I reckon the problem is with EHDD

    Good luck

    Ouch !!!

So frame and forks, that full bike or component price ?

But basically £1500 for frame and forks, including shipping, 17.5% on that, then either 4.7% or 14% import tax on the whole lot

    Mont Ventoux

Simply the toughest barsteward out there, scary when you hit the bald top out of the trees having seen it from miles away, suddenly you are there, it was hard through the trees, but then it just keeps getting harder.

Then you turn around and come down, the most fun you can have with your pants on.

    Brilliant.

Thanks guys, I reckon I'll just have to play it more and get it all to chip off, it'll look well loved by then. Like a bike isn't it ? The first chip is always the worst !!!

Well, now that is a turn up for the books, I haven't checked the chat forum for months and came on today to ask some pissant question about my Strat's fretboard before I notices Marks thread. I have now lost 2 hours of my life reading almost every post and am howling like a baby (I'm not proud)

Mark and Meg my heart (no bovine muscle) goes out to you both completely. You have both been brilliant (stupid word) at dealing with this bag of nails that you have been presented with. You look so happy both of you on your wedding day and it looks (as it should be) a fantastic day. I am glad that things have been going well of late Mark, my thoughts and prayers will be with you and I will bookmark this thread and check it every day.

Some have mentioned a ride like a L2P, I would be very keen to join that, I agree with the thoughts that more money should go to the charity…..

I am chuffed to hear that you have got back on the bike, that will help enormously.

Love and thoughts to you both

Yeah its the one with the mahoosive jockey wheels…..what a heap of cr%p

Maybe I should just restart and get the spare 9 speed wheel rebuilt and get him set up properly.

Nope it is completely fcuked. It is amazing that such a strong junction can all come completely unstuck with the smallest amount of hamfistedness. I am hanging my head in complete and absolute shame.

    Oh, the pain !!! 😳

Thanks Zaskar, but the problem is that the dustcap (which had been on the non drive side) won't fit on the drive side as the drive side is threaded. So I am stuck ! As is the crank arm.

    Boring

Sorry not great pic, but gives you an idea. Its not the one where the driveside crank forms the crankset.

I bet they then try and sell the next one without the wedgy thing ! I was in there the other day and they tried to sell me a seatpost without the top bit that goes over the seatrails if you know what I mean. "Oh no", they said, "you don't need one of them with this sort of seatpost". When I demonstrated what would happen they just took it and put it back on the shelf……

I am still giggling from that one.

Why, oh why does anyone ever buy anything from Halfords ? They aren't even cheap !

At least they do sponsor cycling, so thats something.

Bollocks to any pretend reason like massage, or aero, it makes them (your legs) just feel lovely 🙂 and you look like a real bikie, even off the bike. Do it……in March, time to have a break from it now !!

Boys I bought a 98 E Class 2.4 V6, 67,000 miles with full MBSH for £4000. Full leather, air, everything, it is beautiful. Like a brand new car, done 20,000 miles in 18 months, took it for (non dealer) service, £147.00 all up. Stunning car, great build quality, will last for another 100k miles. Wouldn't recommend another car (other than a W123 model – but they are now seriously old) more. Brilliant car. Oh, and it does mid 30's.

Biggest problem with online purchasing ? Bloody useless Royal Mail.

Bought about a dozen things off here and other sites in last month or so (so what else is new?) 4 of them completely lost, never to be seen again. Much as I love it, getting to the point that I won’t buy off forums, getting too risky. Sniff.

Got to say, I am finding more and more people not even dibbing, but coming in with offers, lots of email conversations agreements on time to collect etc and then letting you down, now THAT is timewasting. Has now happened 5 times in past 2 months.

Even one on eBay, selling my bike, the maggot offers a BIN price which I was happy with, offered me deposit if I put a BIN on there and then, I did, he bought it and then mucked me around for 3 weeks, never paid the deposit, arranged to collect it three times and never showed, when I finally came the heavy, mentioning that buying from ebay constituted a legally binding contract, told me he didn’t want it. Went through the no-payment pallaver with ebay only for him to say that he didn’t believe me that I had paid full retail for the bike 6 months ago and that he didn’t feel that the price he had offered me was enough of a bargain !!! No come back at all from ebay. May his tyres go flat and his lights fail mid ride.

15+ years in recruitment, I would be gutted if any candidate didn’t turn up to an interview in a suit. It is an absolute pre-requisite. And apologies and with the greatest respect to anyone who thinks otherwise, but “I wouldn’t work for a company that wouldn’t hire me for not wearing a suit” utter bollocks. Sure some companies won’t care and you will be over-dressed, but never, ever under-dress for an interview, it will get you nothing unless you are very lucky.

Nuff said, go buy something nice, you’ll need it for funerals and weddings !

I have got something like the first of the Seikos on this thread, brilliant watch, 25 years old, loses about 1 minute a month, never needs batteries, never needs winding, utterly bulletproof. Lovely watch, I change the strap every 10 years between a rubber and a stainless one. Cannot be beaten, I paid $300 AUS 25 years ago, never changed it, never regretted it.

God awful woman. Accurate, but understated. I wanted to punch her.

In fact as for how she looks, first time I have ever seen a Client look more ridiculous than Kirsty.

    Stupid cow.
