I as much as I enjoy Liza Tarbuck, 5 days a week might be a bit too much.

Nelson is a decent shout but that mid morning spot without gentle leg pulling is going to be weird.

This time round, however, I’m more open to the idea, but still hesitant.

How many Therapists does it take to change a light bulb? As many or as few as you like, but the light has got to want to change !!

So you are part of the way there, well done.

I have used a Therapists for three or four periods throughout the last 12 years, not bad, glad I have done them…. But you know they’ll not “fix” you right?

It’s a journey, you’re about to take the first step, good man.

There is no magic bullet, therapy, or switch that you flick you are all good…. It takes time, education, patience, practice and all thing things new SKILL would take to learn.

I’ve recently come to realise that mental health is like your physical health …. you need to keep working at it.

Now I’ve made that realisation I feel better for it. I’ve trained my body for various different activities, events, races or just life in general over the years…. so why not my mind !

Just like running or cycling is part of your physical fitness, see therapy the same way for your mind …. and explore other practices for your mental health.

    Good luck

    “Why thank you Mr Whytewash”

As an aside I’ve recently realisdd, that the canal scenes are shot at Papermill Lock on the river Chelmer…. My favourite paddle board spot…. Brillant !! I now love the program and the local spot even more.

Historic dockyard…. It is worth spending most of the day there?

From what you have said, yes it is !!

Victory is excellent, even my completely uninterested 12/10 year olds enjoyed the headphone tour, really quite atmospheric.

Warrior is great, a couple of actors, I seem to remember, providing some fact/answering questions. The engine/stoking room particularly good…. hours upon hours of shoving coal off your t!ts on coke.

The Mary Rose is good, an impressive setting/building.

And if the GF has had enough the Outlet shopping place is 10mins walk away.

    Have fun

Utterly lost on what is happening but the London scenes are shot close to the office. It’s cool seeing recognizable spots and knowing that the corner they are standing on doesn’t lead to the next road they walk down.

To sell paper stock you have to get it De-materialised.

That means fill out forms in a specific way (you don’t sign the forms but you have to fill your name out as it appears on the cert) etc etc …. Completely antiquated…. Avoid.

    Ro5ey

Please Please Please do not take the Cert…. (it will prove far more work, hassle and probably cost for you in the future)

HL, AJ bell, Redmayne, Stocktrade …. pick the one you like the look of the most. I’d imagen they all offer something pretty similar.

    Good luck

Non-farm payroll is the main US employment figure. If it is reported higher than expectations (or this time, in-line with expectations) that will be seen as inflationary and the Fed’s pivot point will move out to the new year.

    A good/bad figure.

Good in the sense of a strong jobs market/strong economy…. bad in the sense of strong inflation/higher rates/poor stock market performance.

The Stock market will dive as the expectation over the last two weeks is that the pivot point maybe December’s meeting. Don’t try and pick the bounce or catch the falling knife.

Hite-rite, thank you something to bear in mind.

Guess we will see the exact details of the terms in due course, and it will be helpful to raise these questions early.

Yeah that had crossed my mind, will query that.

Sorry as for IR35/tax etc … when I said not worried about tax, that was on the basis that she not even be close to surpassing personal allowance.

    Ro5ey

The Fed will raise by the already baked in 75bps. The interesting part will come when they do not give one piece of notice about any future pivot point (still raising but at a slower pace, 50bps) which the market is desperate for.

That will make Friday’s Non-farm payroll exceptionally important. If comes in strong don’t try catching the falling knife.

    looking like trendy watersport mums.

If you match a dryrobe with rigger boots and a flat cap (as I do for standing on my lad’s football/rugby sideline and daughter’s netball sideline…. my god netball at 0830 on a winters morning is bloody cold) think you’ll be safe in your masculinity :)

Borosilicate …. Has the right answer, if UGAZ is an issue (otherwise your original plan can’t really be beaten)

Harold wood station is about 2mins from “bottom” of the A12. While the “tube” is actually the Elizabeth line and is a lovely aircon overground route with trains every 8 ins or so.

Your walk from Stratford station is a good 15mins but easily doable for a fit cyclist (cut through Westfield :))

Quite like the wahoo on location rides

Yeah … I love the French ones. As you say, a little taste of summer.

But did a “proper” Sufferfest last night and in the last week have thrown around the kettlebell a few times, couple of runs, Yoga continuing every day… all good.

re Yoga … This is what I’ve done ….. On youtube pick a 20 min beginner vid (just pick one where the person’s voice doesn’t grate you :)) and then keep doing the SAME one for a week or two. By doing the same vid you’ll get to learn the “routine” of getting into and out of the same basic stretches and so after a few times you’ll be able to actually concentrate more on the actual stretches themselves, rather than how to get into and out of them. I saw improvement over the same 10 or so stretches to spur me on and as a side note by doing the same vid l didnt go down Youtube rabbit holes and waste my workout time.

One thing I’ve learnt is ….. NO EGO !!

In terms of flexibility….. where you are, is were you are !! It is all good, you WILL slowly improve if you are consistent. Which is what this thread is all about right?

The fact that we have time, the inclination and the ability to even start is a blessing.

    Enjoy

Walks of various length/distances, couple of runs, an easy sufferfest/wahoo vid, yoga everyday ….. a nice easy start into it.

Saw a thing the other day…. 100 days of pull ups…. Day 1, one pull up, day 2 two pull ups etc etc….

That will be tough come November !! So Im trying every other day, to get to 50 pull ups on last day.

Chargers fan for 20odd years, on bandwagon here.

We are stacked ….. QB, RB, OL, receivers, Bosa n Mack, fantastic secondary … playmakers all over the field !!

But we are the Chargers and so can mess it up.

Actually a little bit worried about this week’s game against the blooming Jags. Would like #10 rested but to go 1-2 is a rough start.

Returning from a STW sabbatical and happy to be back in time for this.

I started stretching/yoga regularly back in June and now WANT to do it everyday but I don’t always accomplish that. Hoping this little challenge will get me over the hump.

May I take this opportunity to encourage you to make stretching/yoga part of your exercise game plan over the next 100 days. As a 47 year old fella I feel fantastic for it. Not just in body but also in mind … I just feel so calm recently, its wonderful (and I haven’t even got into the mediation side of yoga, just the physical) It’s low impact and doesn’t knacker you out, in fact I find it energizing.

Anybody wondering whether they could do this challenge in a boarder sense allow me to give you a tip…. Get way from thinking about WORKING OUT !! Beasting yourself every day for the next 100 days isn’t the idea. Do enough to get a little sweat on but not too much
that you can’t go again the next day.

    Good Luck

YourGuitarhero is a sage, but chasing times is a phase we all go through. Utterly pointless but maybe needed to able enjoy running for the sheer joy of it??

So with that in mind, now is the perfect time, as the year comes to an end, to be running slow.

Run only breathing through your nose !! (non-scientific, aerobic method) Do that until at least xmas, I’d carrying on til feb. Then one session of 200m sprints (with complete recovery) a week for 6 weeks and then bring in longer intervals (let your body learn how to run fast without fatigue, then train it to run fast with fatigue)

    Good luck, have fun.

Let’s try and get back on track and away from senseless NHS pay bickering.

I had the morning off, walked the dog, had a run, a haircut and a spot of brunch before work.

Looking forward to doing something like that more often .
