Nope … they are adjustable… but base has to be firm.

No fall … any water is confined to the paver it sits on. I’ve a big squeegee I push around, if its rained over night and I know we want to use the patio early, the water just falls between the gaps…. No grout !!!

On the edges you just trim (with a saw) the flanged tops and bottoms of the pedestals, so that the main body can sit up close to the wall.

I’ve got say having a patio that is at the same approx. height as your inside floors is lovely. I know it a little thing but I think it makes a big difference.

As for make, I don’t know… I just trawled the net for a while and found some that where pretty cheap, (it’s just molded plastic out of sight) Think I paid about £4 a unit…. some were £6+

    I’ve 96 left over …. £175 posted

Did mine with pedestals 6 years ago, easy to “lay” and they look as good now as there did then.

For me so much easier than building a base up, as I have a retaining wall all around the patio, and defo a whole lot cheaper.

You need self levelling (swivel type head/top), adjustable ones for a super easy install.

I’ve got a big box full of SF/adjustable 130mm- 240mm in my garage, as I over ordered…. You could cut them down if you wanted to easily enough  (I did, to get over a raised man hole cover)

Hit me up of pics and advice (although there is much to advice to give they are so easy to do)

    Good then, excellent now.

“Jazz can do one,” or words to that effect, has always stayed with me. To the point I’m not sure I even like guitar solos in rock songs.

I’m a casual gamer, never played Fallout, but the series is really rather good.

Production is outstanding, good character development (but some brilliant gamer type throw-away characters too) decent story line with social/economical/political commentary.

A grown up, as much as it can be, game adaption….. Recommended.

Makes we want to pay the game.

As for Entropy ….. in so much as its linked to time !?!

My 14 year old lad, who is sooo image conscious that he’ll only wear nike and not adidas, will happily wear crocs over sliders to his football, rugby or cricket training.

You is down with the kids blood.

I’m thinking about purchasing a EV but to be honest this thread is making me uneasy.

Our last car had been stolen, so using a salary sacrifice scheme I think with insurance, maintenance, tyres, charge point etc all included in a gross price the economics pretty good. But, as this excellent thread proves, charging can be complicated and induce nerdy (sorry, no offence intended you should be proud of your commitment to detail) levels of knowledge.

I really don’t want that level of complication and the wife will loath it.

So please can you tell me that doesn’t have to be so, if we aren’t concerned about squeezing every last penny of savings out of charging, can charging be simple and easy?

    Be more Dude, less Donny

    Be more Dude, less Donny.

It’s really quite easy… when your monkey brain kicks in, just say “pause” to yourself and be in the moment…. If you have to think, think about something you are grateful for.

Ton, I think you enjoy looking after/watching the grand kids, right? Ok, so when you start ranting to the wife, mates, yourself just think of the last time the dustbin lids made you smile.

    Have fun

He’s not the messiah, he’s a very naughty boy.

But in general really enjoyed it, looked at my watch and was happy I had another hour to go. Was apprehensive of how long any battle/fight scenes might be, but they were mercifully short, although I agree the Sardaukur were pretty much forgotten. Thought the worm ride was excellent, considering how silly it is,  I was on the edge of my seat.

I would have have preferred more Space Guild political/economic involvement/less Bene Gesserit religious* and thought is was a shame Stilgar was “dumbed down” but overall very good.

Nothing like a bit of swimming pool passive aggressiveness…. don’t you love it…. here are 3 scenarios for you to choose from.

    1) Tumble turn her ass …. As she is close to reaching an end, overtake and time your aggressive splashy tumble turn to perfection, leaving her in no doubt who owns the lane…… who da boss

    2) toe/fin tap …..  let her know you are there RIGHT behind her…. a few taps on her fins will put her off her stoke and, as an added bonus, is a bit weird… she will defo want you in front…. perv.

    3) The real option ….  Wait at the end of the lane until she almost reaches you and then set off in front of her….. simples

    Have fun

But to answer the OP question….

A bit like going to the dogs and picking a mutt with the similar name as your mate or ex girlfriend.

Well that’s why I had a punt the other week on Oasis Network ROSE … lol

But £25/week into bitcoin, via Revolt, over the last few years is looking alright at the moment.

“Of course we in the UK can’t buy into the USA Bitcoin ETFs…. yet”.

TBF you can, you just have to find the right broker.

Because Bitcoin etfs are seen as complex instruments another level of bureaucracy is bought into play and “high street” retail brokers don’t want to touch it.

That doesn’t mean to say others will not.

Blooming love it for the kids sporting sideline. Paired with rigger boots and with a flask of coffee in the poacher’s pocket…..  I’m impenetrable to all weathers.

Thought SB was great, one for the purist…. lots of excellent defending

    Ultimately a $500m QB gets you more than a $5m one !!

How 49ers didn’t win in OT is really the story for me….  2nd 3  on the 15 yard line (or something like that) but don’t complete the TD or 1st down is really poor.

West Ham have two home games from the list above, pretty sure they only sell out for the biggest games, so you should be good for Burnley or Villa.

Double easy to get to, lizzy line to Stratford, loads of places to eat and a cheeky visit to the Olympic Velodome…. get yourself a track taster session !!

    Have fun

If there is a WSL game at White Hart Lane that may well be a good shout… harder to get to and nothing around it unless you want your hair cut or fried chicken but the stadium is fantastic.

Watching your kids play sport is fantastic, I blooming love it !!

Yesterday we went straight from a disappointing 1-nil defeat at football to make it to the rugby club on time for the lad (13) to play the 2nd half . Coming on 15-nil down he helped change the game and his team won 20-15 !!

Ups n downs … strikes and gutters …. life !!

Will there be wallies at football?  Yes !! ….  it definitely attracts more than its fair share (having spent lots and lots of time on rugby, basketball, netball, cricket, swimming and gymnastics sidelines)

But I see it as an education, it allows your kids to see adults behaving poorly and how you, as an adult, respond to that.

But you are right….  Kids are like dogs, they need daily exercise !! ( As do I )

But most importantly …. please, please encourage your kids in ANYthing they want to do.

    SUPPORT THEM !

Kickers for my lad …. the old school style ones to begin with, loads of his mate had the same, and now more of a trainer style but still kickers. They have lasted his abuse well (never undoes his laces, I really cannot moan, its a learnt behavior) …. Now if he’d just stop growing for a second they might last even longer.

For those questioning school uniforms in general …. If the some of the above issues are over just the shoes, imagen what it would be like if the kids didn’t wear uniforms !!

If my turbo/zwift reading is to be believed I’m 3.85. But that’s with zwift upping my FTP after decent races…. I’ve not specifically tested.

Now in the last few races I finished really strong hitting sustained watts that I’ve not been able to reproduce when on my own, in the climbing portal for instance, which has me questioning Zwift/turbo measurements.

Oh well, guess it’s just a bit of fun whether if its true or completely wrong and a good incentive for me to push hard in races

Only been on zwift since Nov I guess, I’m a convert from Sufferfest.

Re races … Sorry school boy question…. is your given position, your position in your CAT only or the whole race from Cat A through Cat D.

Having really never been bother by cars previously, the one we have now is BMW …. Its lovely…. (as much as cars can be)

But if I was a “Multi….” I’d pull on brand new sock every morning and go to bed in freshly laundered sheets every night.
