What about a Charge Juicer? They have mudguards, because they are steel it will run great on the roads and not be as harsh as alu or carbon.

Sounds great. When I built up my cotic soul years ago I ran it rigid and it put me back in touch with the trails again. It was very strange when I eventually put some suspension forks back on. I recon one bike is a beautiful way to go, would love to reduce to that!

Guys – thanks for all the ideas. Interesting to hear how they ride and what you get up to on them.

Charlie – reassuring that there are so many of you doing touring on them as well as off road. I might be interested in trying one. Are you in Dorset somewhere?

I started this as I love the ride of my steamroller and the zing of steel and wouldn’t mind doing a bit of ‘cross racing.

Is it not about time Orange did a decent cyclocross bike before doing a road bike? I’m sure they’d be capable of doing a good ‘cross bike (something that looks a bit like the road bike on page 1..).

Rigid Cotic with RC31’s. I ran this setup to get back into riding again and it was ideal . A nice combo.
(I am now selling my forks..

I've been to Copenhagen lots and think that the place is wonderful. For a cyclist it is a superb place to live day to day with the cycle culture. As has been said, the humour is more English which makes life easier. The airport at Kastrup is great. Public transport is very good indeed – there is a website where you can type in your location and destination and it tells you what public transport to use to get from one place to the next. I guess the city wasn't as clean as I would have expected. It's a busy place and perhaps my expectations in respect of cleanliness were too high.

I don't run a lock ring. Just used a chain and a bit of wood to tighten the sproket on to the hub and away. Been running ok around town for the last year ok.

I asked the guys at Cotic about doing a 'cross bike to which they said run the roadrat and it should work ok.

    Just found this:

It looks like the old ms isle. I think the top tube looks a bit low. The proto one above looks sweet.

JonEdwards – Is that a yeti blue soul in the photo, if so who did the paint job for you?

    Cheers.

5lab – this sucks. You never know, hopefully it might pop up somewhere. Brighton isn't that big and these are distinctive because of the 24" wheels.

I've had the one I listed for a few years.

    Thanks for the tips guys.

Stevieeh I'll think about your request – you're close to me. Also, I just looked at your posts, are you still looking for a BMX? See (advert).

Thanks – it says the closest is London. I don't think the Isle of Wight one is running any more. Anyone with a garage in Southampton they aren't using and want to start collecting them for these guys- (re-cycle)?

Could set something up and ship to them?

You’re right forge – it doesn’t look so nice with the white panels. The simplicity of the proto was nice. I would have been interested but the white and ‘new’ logo aren’t my cup of tea.
