I always tend to run more in the winter time (I do struggle keeping a bike clean after every ride), but this year I alternate run / ride . not training for anything specific just trying to slowly build up the running miles 11.5miles yesterday. slow and steady and enjoy the journey.. currently running inov8 terra ultra (zero drop) and love them.
I do find the running helps to stabilise my knee muscles and you defo get more bang for the buck time wise. but a sweet singletrack is pure bliss.

would love an ultra at some point (never done a marathon ) maybe the Iceland Ultra. happy running riding

I’m thinking about a shed similar to these Hutsmith Cabin

They are sips panels with a metal roof and clad in blackened larch with a hidden gutter. Interior ply looks smart to.

I’m finding out of all my bikes I’m using my gravel bike more than anything. 35mm Vittoria dry cross tyres. Having the flexibility to go fast on track, canal and then road is great.

I live in Stratford.. Lovely place, and much quieter this time of year.. Lots of walks along the river and welcome hills, and easy peddling along the disussed Greenway cycle lane. Lots of quirky Cafes and restaurants and the RSC is worth spending time in, back stage tours and tower lookout are good.. Check out the BEAR Pub on the river, box brownie for coffee. Anymore advice or MTB routes needed let me know..

My forecast shows £100 a month based on a planned 9% year on year growth!!!! Makes you think whether it’s worth spending half of the saving now and enjoying it, just in case I don’t get to the age..

I’m Stratford based, but chipping campden as a base is nice. Walks on the Cotswold way, broadway tower. Ilmington hill, near National Trust Hidcote, good pub at ebrington. Bredon Hill for a nice walk with great views to Malvern, pubs in elmley castle or the Yew at Conderton. Stow or Moreton in the marsh worth a Sunday stroll

In my last 3 kitchens I’ve had 5 damaged worktops and 4 doors, it plays havoc with your schedule and price. Rates very regional. Top prices listed are right in the midlands.

Went 4 years ago. Great snow, loved skiing the linked resorts, not overly busy and lifts fine. Quite fancy it again myself.

Tedc, gutted for you. I’ll keep on eye round Stratford. Been a few vans broken into in the day round here of late, was working 12metres away the damn nerve. Only one thing good for folk like this.

My phantom is the best piece of kit I own. I never wear anything under it even in the mid winter ( mtb and road). The sleeves are currently unzipped mid ride and in late spring/ early summer I will give it a rest and hang it up. It’s to warm in the sun cycling hills. Buy a nice new top.

Make an Mdf template, source some nice timber from a joinery shop. Tack template on said timber, router round with edge trimmer cutter. Sand, oil, buff, finish. (Stratford upon Avon based if any help needed)

Mr Unfitgeezer, I feel your pain. My daughter was in special care for weeks when born with fits on day 2. Had all sorts of scans, blood tests, lumbar punctures etc. they found a bleed on the brain, which eventually drained, we were told all sorts of stories about what might happen and what her outcome might be. She’s nearly eight now and absolutely fine and unique. I’m sure everything will work out ok, just learn to ride the ups and downs. All the best for your Little Man..

Tyre levers, small of cut of tyre – incase of gash in tyre can be used to patch. Emergency £10 note (coffee, cake or beer)

Enjoy that ride, I always check the wind direction on a long ride and plan route accordingly.

Had the same dilemma a few weeks ago. My son is five in a month and has been on his sisters Benin 20 large but was way to big, I opted for the cnoc 16 with a view to changing it in a year. He’s been on a balance bike and happy cruises down hills so he’s ready. Just didn’t won’t to complicate things with the gears. They’re great bikes though always bought secondhand.

Damn iphone typos; ^splice an appropriate sized piece of wood….^

I don’t think this is a major problem and certainly not one to fall out over. Carpenter and joiner here with many years in workshop and onsite. Take keep out, slice a decent size price of wood into the old hole glue in, once set trim to suit new keep position. 20 min job tops, plenty of time to ride. Any more help needed feel free.

They’re great, well made, easy to install (I install them) look good . the new plastic ones are solid plastic as opposed to the plastic coated ones of late. It’s easy to bank the windows together, they have a rain sensor on them and they work a dream. IMO don’t bother with the other makes they’ve got it nailed.
