Not so much all season, but back in october the local tyre guy had dunlop winter sports in cheap, £40 each. I thought why not , winters coming and if i get a year out of them all good. Had no issues with the snow, and there’s been enough cold and icy days to justify them so far. I know  in the summer they will probably be pants, but the thread should last enough to justify the cost.

I don’t do celeb ‘star struck’.  I’d be more impressed if someone in the car next to me was a neurosurgeon who had just left work after doing something beneficial for the human race.

best advice i can give, get a heater and dehumidifier in. obviously a plumber. get all the wet plasterboard and insulation and any other fabrics binned. in terms of appliances drain all the water off that you can and get them next to heat to dry them out. don’t attempt to turn them on for a few days, might have to open the backs to see if water is inside.

you’ll probably end up with an insurance claim, but there’s no harm having a tinker.

save yourself a lot of grief and come out of the nearest socket on the garage wall and the other on the socket inside wall. most efficient way.

under the floor in a conduit not an issue at all. if you can buy a spring or pre made 90 degree bends to keep the conduit continuous up into your socket.  are you starting the first one back to back with an existing socket?

Bring lots of euros , don’t expect much change out of 50 euro no matter what you buy. The centre has got out of hand so much so i haven’t bothered in a long time. Expect everywhere to be packed out especially if you get unlucky and an event is on. And watch out for the junkies.

has anybody seen the piece the bbc did of piers and trump? now im not fan of either , but a national news agency doing a cartoon of that nature is outrage.

Brexit was a way to get out of being europe’s cuck. mass immigration of low skilled , low educated , non english speaking cultures being dumped in the uk for the free health and meal ticket. get a cheque every week and rent paid for, get that back problem cared for, which would never have been attended to from whence they came.Sound like a racist bigot? i can assure you i’m not at all, i’m just stating what the majority of the people see with their own eyes daily but like myself say or do nothing about it.  bit to clear coated for you all? btw i didn’t vote .

Then there is the trade and business side of it. under the desk envelopes with tax breaks and wishful trade deals with a free industrial site if your company sets up and deals with the uk. But only on eu’s terms.

swimming is intense , such a workout of everything. i only found myself getting better at it by, suprise suprise doing it often. i’m no expert by any means, but just get in and muck about like treading water, doggie paddle , breast stroke. then after a while front crawl and just keep picking up the distance. go 10m ,15m etc. then before going for longer lengths pick up the pace to a point where your doing 25m at a reasonable rate of speed. then up the length again to where your comfortable at say 50m , then up the pace for the 50m .just building up distance and pace over a length of time/years. at the moment id sink, i haven’t swam in about 2 years.

did a tally this morning, quite similar to yesterday but no blackbirds today, usually see two at least. have had the first blue tit of the year. one lonesome one that pops down grabs a seed and clears off, comes back after 20 mins . the starlings are relentless , annoys me that the steal the mealworms from the smaller ones.

    jackdaw- 12

    starling – 8

    rook-2

    wagtail- 2

    robin- 3

    dove- 6

    sparrow- 12

    chaffinch – 6

    bluetit- 1

    magpie- 1

not too bad there bunnyhop, i’m missing the tits and various finches though, they have gone awol this year. ill do a tally up tomorrow. we get the usual sparrows , robins, wagtail, blackbird, jackdaw, raven, rook , magpie, starlings, collared dove(used to be a folck of near 10, now only see 4) , saw a pair of chaffinches. our wren seems to be gone since the other day.

the big crows and magpies will only come if i throw big stuff, like bread and other scrap on the shed roof. they used to annoy me , but hey there birds and part of the planet. There will only be a few of each, i guess they run in gangs cause in adjoining fields and areas there is loads of them. starlings are like a black friday sale.  complete savages, i used to move them on but again, its not right, in recent times they have calmed a bit and are slightly fewer .

let them be, there birds doing what birds do. i used to get really annoyed at starlings completely taking over , but they are still part of nature.

just been the usual today, few more robins though. haven’t seen the blue tits this year at all, maybe to early? male chaffinch and a wren were a new welcome at the start of the week.

can’t get birds to use the seed feeder, any tips or ideas?
