Can not understand people’s mentality at all at this time of year. Just popped around to the sisters who has one small child. The mountain of plastic chinese tat toys that the kid will never get the chance to play with because by the time she gets to toy 15 she will be grown out of it. Then around to mums who is just as bad even though we are all past our 20’s. The consumerism and copious spending is quite sickly really. I could have suggested better ways to have spent the money into actual useful items that you make use of all year.

Our minds really are complex and weird machines. I can never fathom how somebody that has a wife and kids and a full time job feels the need to do such an act. Speaking from myself whom i’ve been single by choice for 4 years. On days when I feel low I can’t have a chat with the wife or take the kids out somewhere, but it has never crossed or entered my mind to carry out an act to end it all. I’d like a rolex but I don’t have ten grand for a watch. I can spare 150 for so thing that looks similar and that makes me happy. Miyota movement, ceramic bezel  better lume, domed crystal with ar coating. I’m fine with homages.

I totally agree, seiko needs to wake up to the amount of micro’s pumping out stuff with their movements inside. Offering far more bang for the buck. Chapter ring misalignment, hardlex and the supplied bracelets. If they improved all these and kept the price point there would be less need to buy from a micro.
