    Here
Cheap, I’ve had one for a year and half, used through muddy winters with no issue.

Take pitchforks, flaming torches and someone from the local paper

Bombers for god sake, its a cycling shop.

Not sure if cycling shop is the correct word though, it is still a bike shop its just run by a group of cowboys who make it a pretty unreliable bike shop.

Mind the shit on the middle of the bars.

How I use to have it. I still used 2 fingers, was holding onto the lock rings!

So I moved them in for comfort. I’m going to move them back out and up.

I’ll move my levers again tomorrow and try again like 1.5″-2″ should do it. Lift them up a little too by the sounds of it.

It was two on each but jedi moved my levers and now it’s only one on each.

I tried this but for some reason I still continued to move my hand onto the flange on the grip so I could use 2 fingers….

I think I need some new brakes then, although I could easily throw my self over the bars with one finger on the front but I cant lock the rear with 1 finger.

    Contaminated disc/pads me thinks.

    Planned design.

Hopefully Slik can do me the graphics.
If not can anyone advise me of somewhere else?
Should I just try places that make car graphics?

I have emailed LSN and most of the other powder coaters in the area to see where I can get it done.

Has anyone got any advise on where to have graphics made?

Just looked at a place called Bob Jackson Cycles in Leeds, price is around £80 for a frame looking at threads on here where people have used them.

Anyone used Bob Jackson Cycles who can give their view?

If you dont mind me asking. The people who used Argos, how much did it cost?

I’ve emailed them asking but I might get a quicker reply on here for a general price. I’m looking to spend under £100 including postage(if I need to send it)

I’ve also emailed Woodrups Cycles in Leeds(where I am based) as they make custom frames which have to be painted somewhere.

The main reason I have been looking to have it done at a proper place is because the powder coating process can a affect heat treating, whether this would make any difference on a chromoly steel frame I dont know?

If it isn’t likely to affect it then I could probably have it powder coated cheap by a local powder coater.

    I would recommend this

I bought mine for £56 about a year ago, no problems with it.

    Solar and radio time.
Never need to set the time or buy new batteries again..

Just checked the geo on my frame at the moment, turns out the geo of the standard 456 is almost exactly the same bar effective top tube which could be my inaccurate measurement, it is only 5mm shorter than a 456.
They have almost the same tubing too yet mine is supposedly 500 grams lighter.

So unless I get the SS then the purchase would be pointless.

Or using pls instead of please.

Proper races would surely have officials that wouldn’t let any one ride without a helmet?

    Looking for frame only, sorry.
Can’t decide between the SS or standard version. It will be my only bike. So all-day, xc, am,few small tabletop jumps etc.
Built around Manitou Black 120mm super airs, may upgrade to some RS/X-Fusion/Fox 120mm forks later though.

It must climb quite well too, any help on my best choice would be appreciated too.

I quite like that. I would get the standard 456 in bright green, but they don’t have them :(

Your grips could do with being slightly more pink though, superstar pink grips maybe?

pls cause i fraace and had a accsdint on the road and broke my wwrist and laand in a ditch so pls im 12 so probley a 55cm email me on jameshughes991@gmail.com

    Translation :

Please because I _______ and had an accident on the road which caused me to break my wrist. I landed in a ditch. Please can you help me as I’m only 12 years old, this also means my helmet size will probably be 55cm.
Email me any helmets to jameshughes991@gmail.com

The issue with this post is he didn’t seem to incur any injuries to the head, so why is he wanting a helmet? I’m not condoning not using helmets but surely if he wasn’t wearing one in the first place then why would a broken wrist make you want to wear one?

    Maybe fraace means face?

I dont think QR will ever fade out for anything under 140mm. most Shimano Deore level hubs are QR, I think that shows what is going to happen in times to come.. Not much, Shimano clearly believe in the 9mm QR system or they would make all of there hubs interchangeable.

I’ve followed quite a few of you.

Now I look cool with all the people I’m following.. Oh wait, no I just look like I have no life as I am following almost 5 times the amount of people following me.

Superstar have just started making replacement ones.

This may not be the best information.

Superstar bearings are known for being crap.

Jade reports, “The first Ultrabook notebooks were slated to arrive at that price point in time for the 2011 holiday shopping season but a new report reveals that ‘actual production costs’ to build the new notebooks are roughly as high as Apple’s MacBook Air retail prices, which could ‘render the hope [of matching the Air’s pricing] practically infeasible.’”

So if Apple can make them so cheap, what shit do they fill them with…

    R.lepecha

Probably due to the overpriced products Apple make.

I had some for about 12 months, bought the wheel set used. The cones were loose, the races were pitted but I put a new set of bearings in and didn’t touch them for 12 months.

They weren’t massively smooth due to the pits in the races but they span for long enough and worked just fine.
Unfortunately the wheel set was stolen while on a bike.

My steel frame hasn’t been damaged from multiple showers and a few washes even though its been scratched to the bare metal in places. There isn’t even any rust…

I dont bother doing anything with it once its wet, I just let it dry.
Cromoly is rust resistant so to speak though.

Yeah, that gravel is always really soft so its like loamy ground but at the same time there’s never any bloody grip on it.

I would be interested to know What the terrain was likE before I would even consider a judgement about your fitness, off road, really stony, gravelly, hard packed canal tow path, new tarmac? It all makes a difference.

Theres a bit of everything in there, an old like patchwork rough road, some canal tow path, some gravelly, not much stony, a lot of soft ground like loamy type stuff.

Dehydration could be it, I forgot my bottle but I never felt like I needed it. I probably did though!

Yes could you please send me that bleep test please?
Dont you need a hall of certain length to do it in though?

I did a few at school a few months back(when I personally felt weaker) and I managed to be in the last two. We both failed at the same time.

Im not saying I do know what im doing.

I asked for advise on why I felt like I did after that ride.

You some how can work out from one ride that I am unfit, I’m 16 and I weigh somewhere in the regions of 66kg. If that’s unfit then I dont know what I’ve been doing for the past 3 years years riding my bike.

    R.lepecha

why would I want to ride a geared bike?

You seem to think I am unfit by that route, If I’m un-fit what the hell is being fit like?

I cant be that un-fit if I passed the guy on the Cube who was wearing the fully Lycra outfit.

    R.lepecha

    On a single speed.

Its not the easiest of routes, quite a few of the hills have unavoidable roots in large amounts that take some effort to get up.
