i know i’ll still get spares, i just dont see why no one wants to run 8 speed no more, 9 speed helps in what way? 1 more gear, cant realy tell the difference. 10 speed, same again, there was enough gears with 8 speed, then it went nine which was just a little bit to many and 10 is over the top

    Mister P
why the dont feed the troll pic, it was just a general question, i dont see the problem in asking.

Personally I think everyone should "learn" on a rigid bike, with crap brakes and "earn" suspension and decent brakes as their skills progress.

I have to agree, sounds about right that.

i think i ride quite smooth, smoother than my mates do anyway. but is there any point going rigid?

    R.lepecha

well I don't know wether rigid would be a good idea. I was just saying I don't ride a fully.

i was looking at them surly forks and the on one forks, orange f8's?

ok well I would still rather buy one because I don't have the time to build one. them minoura ones seem the best as they have similar propities as the park tools ts2 stands. like the radial truing pins move together so its dead centre. cheapest I've seen them is 85 quid, which isn't cheap though, its 50/50 between that tacx exact and the minoura, the tacx is way cheaper and probably does pretty much the same job, we'll they all do

i cant see how these wooden stands can be so accurate.
    prefer a bought one?

i was reading about then and they have no way of setting it up for different size hubs right? and that all you have to do is bend the legs out to fit a different hub in(no pun intended)
is this right cos then the wheel wouldnt be very centre if it did?

    i was looking at them,
then i saw this which looks very simmilar, just cheaper and without the dishing tool.

go to the doctors about it, they will probably refer you to physio, i was after i crashed in the winter months and my knee started hurting since, now it never hurts because i was given exercises to do to resolve the problem.

i know where your coming from but i know some one thats cracked a plastic one so the theory of bullet proof does not work in practice. mine wasnt ever meant to be super strong. ive never snapped teeth of a chainring either when ive bashed them. maybe its because i dont weight much for it to dig in? i dont know. but my bashguard type thing seems like marmite, some of you love it, some of you hate it.

infact i shall make some stickers for it. one that says love. one that says hate.

and how are you going to read your recieved sms if it isnt saved? it would probably be easier to change number and not tell anyone your number then they aint no texts to save, but that would be stupid.

bench grinder after i snapped them of using a pair of plyers. relitavley easy realy. and if you hit it hard enough it'l bend. if u hit a plastic one hard enough it'll crack. i've never bent an outer ring and ive bashed a few. but i never ride in the outer so i thought, may aswell make it look a bit better and save the bottom of my trackies in the colder weather.
