I would say, 1 and half hours if you know the trails and dont get lost haha.

but that’s just a guestimate as I’ve only been once at the moment and it took forever due to 1 of my riding partners snapping his chain, then receiving a puncture.

but its harder to take in so therefore you take in less? also your blood is slightly thicker as your body temperature will drop until you warm back up.

its harder to breathe in when its cold as the air is thicker, so you take in less oxygen per breath reducing the amount of respiration happening in your cells, leading to less strength in the muscles, I’m guessing.

    Nice trails. Nice vid.

Thanks, I’m probably at some point soon going to film a bit farther afield, like not the ones on my doorstep. 🙂 Any help on what I can improve? other than my editing(which was my first try with a proper video editing program, as in not windows movie maker 😛 ) all thought hints and tips on editing would be good.

😀 the skids were mainly unintentional 😉 , I’ve still got a Michelin mountain dry 2 as my rear tyre and it was muddy.

Its shot at Rothwell Country Park

it didn’t take that long to make. but thanks anyway 😆

sorry about the music, I thought it fitted. But I am a teenager so the music choice would obviously be different if I was older.

My sister has just got one for her first car, apart from having really bad jacking points made of cheese and the oil filter in the worse position ever to change. It runs anyway, its a 1.1 year 2000 I think a late in the year MK1 as far as I know.

I’ve got some Creative EP-630’s or something like that. Theres a place on ebay in the uk that sells them for about 3 quid. Im on my second pair as I got the old ones really wet and alhough they still work the sound isnt as good as new,so I use them on the bike.

There cheap but they work decent enough for me, sound better than my mates skull candies in my opinion.

fair point, hate it when people are anal about the cleanliness of their bike. its for riding, not cleaning.

the only difference would be thickness cos some expensive tubes are dh tubes and some are thinner, xc tubes.

nor do i at a-level. it will work well for my bike and i won’t gain any marks in doing that. i can put that in the evaluation. that will get me marks. i will also be stretched for time in what i have designed

true, evaluations always need something that you can write about that could be improved.

the bike hire over there is bloody rubbish, or where we stayed they were, we hired 2 bikes both bikes weighed a tonne(hardtail) had really old deore which didn’t shift, v brakes that didn’t hardly work, and the most rigid Rst gila t8’s ever. To top it off they both had hybrid tyres on it, despite saying “mountain bike”

Occasional slipping(and a rumble when freewheeling) is usually the first sign of a freehub giving up.The M475 freehub isn’t actually that bad, however it’s sealing(or lack of)is, on the brighter side, you can swap everything from the better sealed M525 hub into yours without rebuilding the wheel as long as you’re careful in removing/refitting the seal housing on the brake side. A snug fitting socket and extension can be used to winkle it out, a larger one to tap it in, and it doesn’t cost much more than a new freehub body, and it also comes with a better skewer too.

I am going to fabricate a freehub stripping tool, and grease all the bearings back up and clean the pawls. the better skewer doesn’t matter, I don’t use Shimano skewers anyway

What do you northern lot wear for night rides?

standard stuff from the summer, if you remember where northerners.

its cause the hubs rubbish, freehub is gone by the sound of it, shimano freehubs are crap

if the freehub had gone it would just slip constantly though wouldn’t it?

not just after a certain amount of time.

One of the three was riding a fluorescent green bicycle.

sounds like someone’s just bought a new on one with the glow in the dark paint…

I quite like it but the first section tries to give the image that downhill bikes are so much faster on terrain like that compared to a FR/AM full bouncer, but I could probably come down that faster on my 100mm hardtail than that guy did on that green bike.
