    Hi,
My daughters got a met – had it about 2-3 years (she is now 5) – never had a problem with it, she has never complained about wearing it either which is what you want really. Having been brought a cheaper one for my son the difference in quality is clear to see so you are right to go with one that you yourself would wear.

    hope that helps,
    Richard.

My third is due this coming Sunday – wife was in hospital at some point during all three although with this one at least I had two others to take my mind off it. They are very cautious over pregnancy and will look after her – as the rest say, get some sleep and sort out all that needs doing.

    All the best.

    Richard.

Replace them with war pilots on rotation with a different display method.

Are they not serving pilots who have done tours already, indeed I remember something about them having to have done tours already before selection. After their stint with the team they also go back to regular duties.

No doubting it – tricks look far better on BMX's than mtbs

Thanks Ton – think I'll give that a miss.

Did find this today in Smiths – http://www.huckmagazine.com/ – seems all right.

    It's not a dog mate – ha!

And the questions just keep getting more and more stupid…
    – at least it isn't about tyres!!

Thanks for responses. – getting it nicked is a concern, perhaps back into the shed although that is a sad reflection of the society we are – can't do anything without worrying about the worse thing that could happen.

I've tried Trail but that seems more gear and walking rather than lifestyle/opinion articles seemed a bit WMB for walking.

Morrisons,sainsburys/tesco, have you got a plastic card so we know when and how much you spend in our shops

    No,

Er yes and it saves me hundred of pounds a year in Euro Tunnel vouchers, trips out with the family so they can keep asking for that as I often forget.

I too like the non bikey articles – in fact I would like to read a magazine that covered a variety of outdoor pursuits/adventure type of things instead of just focusing on the one discipline – anyone know of anything like this? When compared to other bike mags STW is actually readable rather than just viewable.

What about flat jumps, ie just a little ramp and drops? Is it the same then? I always assumed drops where like bunny hops?

Push not pull – I'm guessing this means you push your bike through the jump which in effect causes an upward movement as you go up the "ramp" as opposed to yanking at the bars on take off?

    HI,

Mine is from about 200 and is a 68mm – think all models afterwards are as well – there is a page on the Santa Cruz website about it – http://www.santacruzbikes.co.uk/bicycles/faqs/chameleon06.html

Thanks – that clears things up – think mine are running at a high pressure at the moment, that may be the problem.

chakaping – that is my biggest fear!!! I am sure if she questions me I can blag my way through it. Certanly a few lessons learned (although I went through the same process with BMX’s a few years ago so should have remembered – I reckon I was trying to kid myself!!)

I reckkon I could have stuck to the budget if I had had more time and patience as the LBS would probaly have done the little bits for nowt but to be honest I couldn’t be bothered to spend evenings and weekends effing and blinding whilst trying to sort little problems out!!! I like to think that I enjoy bike building etc and that I am ok at it but I think it is time to own up to the lie!!! Indeed I am looking forward to getting out on it this summer – I hope it does not disappoint!

Perhaps the question should be – if a demonstration affects the morale of a country or causes disharmony during a time of “conflict” then should it be allowed? And if it does then how do you deal with those who are opposed to the governemnts policy?

Looking at the protest banners etc – “go to hell”, “murderers” etc – not really an effective anti-war protest as has been pointed out the soldiers are only doing what they are told. But they do have a right to protest – where does this queue start?

Before me and the wife had kids I used to surf a lot – early mornings, during the day and in the evening. When we had kids I soon realised that I could not be so selfish as to demand all the time for myself so I scaled back the surfing to the point taht I now no longer really go, but this was something that just evolved. I do miss it but the irregular timings of swell/tides mean that I have to plan my time much better. This is when I decided to take up biking agin as I could say “Saturday morning I am going out for a ride”. Then we had another child and then biking took a back seat, so then I was without biking or surfing on a regular basis.. It was not that my wife would not let me go rather I made the decision that I would put spending time with my family and supporting my wife ahead of my own hobbies. Now as I have turned 30 I have taken the decison that I will make more of an effort to do both activities but at times which do not always impact on family time – evenings and early mornings – in an attmept to regain some fitness and to make sure that I do not lose touch with them so when the kids do get older it is not so hard to return to them. The key is compromise and seeing that over time your priorites have to change. It is not that my wife and I are different – we both love the outdoors and walking etc – only that she perhaps readied herself for change before I did. Also young families only stay young for a short while. Monday is my daughters last birthday before she starts school so I will be taking the day off work in order for us all to fully enjoy it.

The ark toy is fisher price I think – ours has got it, and plays with it – collecting the different animals, naming them etc, and whilst I did not like the amount of packaging it came with to put it in the loft is surely a waste. Are there no charity shops/hospitals etc near you who would want it?

Went on a course the other day and the speaker, who is an “expert” on brain function, said that the 2litres a day fact is a bit of a myth because your body needs to always be hydrated to about 2 litres – so if you eat and drink a sensible diet then you should be ok. If you overhydrate then you end up flushing your system which apparnetly is a bad thing. He may well have been talking blxs.

    Hi,

What is it like now? Going across on Monday for the first time. How long does it take to do the loop for an average/slow rider.

    Thanks,
    Richard.

The Wild Trees – about climbers who study/climb the worlds tallest trees. Very inspiring the amount of dedictaion certain people have but also quite sad how they cut off alot of things in their lives in order to follow one path.
