Went out yesterday for 8 hours, nearly passed out, decided to drink wine today instead.

Don't worry about it unless they start leaking oil. I scratched one of my stantions on a rock a couple of years ago and it's never been a problem.

2nd Reiss. There's one in Cambridge (well used to be), waaaaay better than M&S and you might actually want to wear it again after the interview.

If you want to wear an M&S suit again, then there's really no talking to you.

Yes. Ran them last year (2.35 f&R), plenty grippy, bit faster rolling than 2 HRs.

The actual ATM itself comes in at about 70kg without cash, but the safe will add a fair bit more than that, depending on what option it has. That's assuming it's the type with 4 cassettes (which it sounds like from your description). I haven't had much to do with the safes, but you should probably figure in 300-400kg for it.

Isn't suggesting there's a question that STW can't answer heresy?

The Hub at Glentress have a decent selection of demo bikes, including LaPierre and Genesis.

I'm 5'7" with a 30" inside leg and ride a 17.5", so you may want to go slightly bigger.

I had a play on an Uzzi (also at Laggan) at the weekend. Climbed a little better than I expected (although I wasn't hoping for much), but was fantastic fun everywhere else. Really plush and scary fast. Not sure I'd be able to justify 2 grand on a frame, though.

    Indeed, top day.

I was thinking either Alpine 160 or Uzzi VP.

    Aye, go on then.

I use the Granger's wash-in stuff, which thus far has worked very well.

Did the black today. Still quite a lot of fallen trees and snow, so you're probably better off on the red or at Inners.

I was there last night too and was also mightily impressed. If they can push the improvements at the start of Eas Dubh out to the rest of it, it'll be awesome. The runway is fantastic fun – could do with a push up path for easy sessioning, though.

I've had stuff signed for by the local post office and stuff signed for that I've never seen. The folk I bought it from put in a claim and I got a refund pretty quickly.

Non-premium, but the quality has been consistently pretty good.

Good call forge197. Now going to Inners. Probably still going to die, though.

Jedi, I'll give it my best shot. I'll let you know how I go.

Oh. Hello. Sorry I'm late, I missed the beginning of this…

I've been veggie (it's 2 g's – not eating meat is no excuse for bad spelling) for 20 years now. I'm not pasty or unhealthy, I don't hate food and I appear to have an adequate complement of amino acids, based on not being dead and all.

I kind of agree with Juan – it's a lifestyle choice and, just like wearing slightly effeminate scarves, I expect to be given a hard time for it based on the fact that we're all British (except Juan) and we relate to each other by finding a perceived character flaw and exploiting it until the recipient has a nervous breakdown, or says "that's no wit your maw said".

Xherbivorex, I'm sure you're a lovely chap, but you're kind of feeding the arsey, militant veggie myth. There's no point getting into arguments when we so obviously have the moral high ground and the whole world will soon fall beneath the heel of our synthetic leather jackboots.

    MwaHaaHaaHaaHa!!!!

(I'm sure I'll regret posting this when I sober up. No change there then).

Pour boiling water over it to make it a bit tacky and peel off the worst, then wd40 will take the rest off.

I got a few in to look at ours. Fees ranged from 1.5% down to 0.75%.

First time I've been out since before Christmas. Sunny, not a cloud in sight, all the mud was still frozen and I had a brilliant time. Reminded me why I love riding.

Look at the comments on any US political blog, and it's striking how many people are becoming disillusioned with Obama. He doesn't seem to be connecting the same way he did during his campaign; I've even seen a couple of calls to bring back Bush. You'll always get the swivel eyed loons, though…

I hate to say it, but it has to be the Alpine 160.

For engineering I'd probably go for SolidWorks as it's a bit cheaper and more widely used than ProE. It will allow you to create drawings fairly easily and is a lot simpler to get to grips with. AutoCad Inventor looks nice, but I don't think it's as widespread as the others.

I'm about to change ours. Plumber told me, if you're staying in the flat you can't go wrong with Viessman, Vaillant or Worcester. If you're moving in the next couple of years: Vokera non-condensing.

    I'll be getting the Vokera.

I guess it's all about quality of life. Once he starts looking miserable I suppose it's time, but I've become a bit distrustful of our vet now.

    rj
    Free Member

He's already had one op on it where they took some of it out, after which the first vet said "there's no point getting it analysed, there's nothing we can do". A couple of weeks later the same vet said "Well, if you wanted to talk to a specialist, you should have had it analysed when you had the chance, shouldn't you?".

I wasn't desperately impressed by that.

Just to clarify, despite the steepness of your head angle, we also love you, man.

It has broken the surface, but he seems to be coping well with it. He's on Metacalm plus some other opiate based stuff, so he's probably having a better time of it than I am.

I'm inclined to leave him until it either starts hampering his mobility, or he seems to be in distress.

We took him to the vet, one said "bring him back on Monday and we'll put him down". We took him on the Monday, but a different vet was on and although she didn't say in so many words, she obviously thought that the first vet was a murdering, psycopathic bitch and told us to come back in a week, and she's told us the same thing for the last 3 weeks. Even the original, killer vet was shocked at how well he's doing.
I don't want him to suffer, but equally I don't want to put him down when he still seems OK.

See, I look at that and think "Gawd, that looks steep".

I've become a bit of a geometry tit.

Maybe I should just buy a bike, ride it and shut up.

    Laughably improbable, I suppose.

Geometry. It's a bike, since when did price matter?
