There’s only one answer to this; Paesano Pizza on Miller Street (also Great Western Road if you’re in the West End). The best pizza I’ve ever had, including a trip to Naples last year.

Got some from Ikea for around £50 or so that work reasonably well.

In fairness I think the anti-Spotifyness is more Thom Yorke than the rest of them. The Radiohead back catalogue is all on there, but none of his is.

Slightly different sort of unexpected. I did what I thought was a relaxed 30km round Mugdock in Glasgow, however according to Strava I had been doing somewhere north of 400mph and had mad it most of the way to Iceland at an altitude of 10,000m. I was barely out of breath.

I was in Dales yesterday and they had a full sus, fatty e-bike. Honestly, I’m a bit perplexed by it all.

Go to M&S tomorrow, buy a navy blue suit, a white shirt from the ‘Luxury’collection (30 odd quid) and a navy tie. DO NOT WEAR CORDS TO AN INTERVIEW! Unless you don’t want the job, in which case knock yourself out.

Received a set of FSA K-Force Lights today. £240 versus RRP of £600 which I’m pretty happy with.

Mason Definition, Bowman Pilgrims, Kinesis 4S disc, The Light Blue Robinson. I’ve got a Definition that I’m building up at the moment and it is properly nice, but all of them look extremely tempting.

The most spectacular example I’ve seen is a chap I used to work with had 64 in varying states of build. 14 of them were Alpine Stars Megas!

My wife got me a replica for my birthday recently. I find it plenty comfy (I’m only 5’7) and it looks great. I fully understand the appeal of owning an original, but that’s never going to happen and what I’ve got is a beautiful piece of furniture made more practical by virtue of not costing more than I could afford to replace.

Bowman Pilgrims looks nice. Aluminium Synapse disc will be within budget, and the CAAD10 disc is on sale for £1350 at a few places just now. There’s also the Fuji Sportif 1.1 LE, wee bit heavy but a decent spec. for the money as it’s on sale for £1040 at the moment.

Perfectly happy with Spotify Premium and frankly I’m getting a bit hacked off with Apple pushing things I have no interest in onto my phone and taking up my (non-expandable) memory, with no option to remove them (watch app, music, U-bloody-2). Taylor Swift and the increasingly irritating Thom Yorke are not major selling points for me.

I’ve been tussling with the same question. Having read what Bowman have to say and the first ride review on road.cc Bowman Pilgrims First Ride it seems to be very much a road bike, albeit one that will take a bit of rough, rather than a gravel or CX-lite kind of thing. For me it comes down to whether I want to pay a bit extra for something that essentially does the same job (and is slightly heavier), but is ‘nicer’. We’re not talking Ford Focus versus 911 here, more like Alfa and Maserati. Personally I’m leaning towards the definition because I like the idea of building something that’s beautiful and a little bit exclusive. But, I’ve already changed my mind twice, so who knows?

Sturgeon has played this very cannily. Voters in Scotland believed they’d vote SNP and get a labour government that the SNP could screw for concessions in exchange for support. English voters were wary of voting for a weak labour government that would be compelled to capitulate to the SNP, particularly with all the bad feeling that was whipped up during the referendum with reports of Scotland getting a better fiscal deal than the rest of the UK. This unsurprisingly pushed more English voters towards the Tories. The final part of the plan will be if the rest of the UK vote to leave the EU, triggering another referendum. I imagine she was hoping for a few more UKIPpers to help this along, but that’s not vital. I was dead against independence, but given a choice between that and staying in a UK that was out of Europe even I would probably change sides. So, good result for the SNP, but about as bad as it could possibly be for the rest of the UK.
I always thought it sounded a bit odd that the French ambassador would just make up the comment from Sturgeon that she would prefer another Conservative government.

    You’re on the line between a 52 and 54.

The 73 degree parallel geometry means that 56.5 is a long effective top tube

The 54 is a 544mm effective top tube:

I’m 5’7″ with more or less the same bike (Sportif 1.3 disc). It did feel pretty stretched out to begin with, but I shoved the saddle all the way forward and stuck with it for a while. I’ve recently put a 90mm stem on which has improved things quite a bit with no noticeable effect on the handling, and TBH on 5+ hour rides it’s fairly comfortable. For the sake of 15 quid for a shorter stem it might be worth sticking with it for a few rides before you make your mind up.

..Although obviously when I say mustard’s optional, that’s a test.

Fry some garlic in butter, add a bit of flour to make a roux then a glass of white wine before you start adding milk to get the consistency you want. Add half and half Stilton and Gorgonzola picante, let them melt and you’re good to go. Mustard optional.

I’ve had one for a few years now. Other than the black lacquer on the bezel getting a bit scratched it’s been spot on. I think it treads the line between too big and a bit weedy really well. And it’s a lot nicer than a Tag.

Got my Pikes from them a few months back. They were showing as available to order with a lead time of 3 weeks, but arrived after only 1. Communication was good and the price was (at the time) the best I could find anywhere.

I’m running 150mm 650b Pikes on my Saracen Ariel. I don’t notice much if any difference in handling compared to the Lyriks I had before. Bear in mind that you can change from 150 to 160 by replacing the air spring assembly if you decide you want to.

It’s worth noting that Evans will do their sale prices on Cyclescheme. I got £120 off a 2014 bike in January, plus the scheme saving on top of that.

Can’t help with robustness, but I demoed one a few months back at Glentress and it was awesome fun. I tried it back to back with a Bronson, Blur Tr and Carbon Remedy and it was my favourite by a considerable margin.

I’ve found the city centre one pretty good. The fact that they generally price match the Internet and I don’t have to drive to Braehead Braehead had made it my default option.
