Can anyone tell me. I’m running 1×10 slx clutch mech but it seems a tad noisey as in the chain is not meshing on front sprocket. Am I meant to have a 10speed one or are they all the same. It’s a zee 36t one. By way I don’t run chain guide and it’s not thick/thin ring. Never drop chain

I had an SL5. It does say 1.5. But mine had 1 1/8 sun tours in with spacers to make upto 1.5. I put some tapered rebas in what a transformation. I did have to change few parts in headset but definatley worth it. Still got them if interested.

No he wasn’t laying sticks in trails or anything. But we were on a single track and came to a gate that had mesh and a bolt on the other side and could hear a dog. So I said I don’t think we should go that way and turned around. Only to find 1 of us had a puncture so we started to sort as he came through the gate shouting and swearing. Really aggressive none of us small blokes and could of got himself in a right mess but we all stayed calm an lagged at him. We hadn’t been through a gate and was still in forest. He accused me of littering as I pulled a stick out of my wheel. I was more worried he was goin to give himself a heart attack. An then it’s on our shoulders

I agree rode it last night in the rain an it was hard work. But we were out riding so who cares. Mind you had an argument with a local that thought he owns the forest. Telling us it was private property an we are ruining the forest. Laughable though as he was in 70s on his own in dark wet woods in his slippers telling 4 of us to get away from his property swearing and pushing 2 of the group in the chest. What a Wednesday night

Well we rode most of the forest yesterday morning and was bone dry. So with rain yesterday and today won’t be dry anymore but can’t really imagine it gettin un rideable just yet

Do people normally route rear brake pipe through frame to or is it only cables

    ritchic
    Free Member

Yeah I’ve got a frame I can test on. I thought of drilling small hole first then bigger 1 but angling the drill to make an elongated hole

Ha ha I imagine a lot of time will be spent poking things thru the frame. Is there any parts inside the frame tubes that will be blocked off

Yeah I was thinking slightly brushed look and apparantly u can have powder coated clear. Not 100% on that though

I agree I won’t be polishing it. But I’m bit worried if its not lacquered the metal may stain after a while an start lookin tatty

    ritchic

I rite. I thought having it lacquered was a must. But then again if its not just left in the shed for months dirty an wet it’s not really a problem is it. What costs are involved in dipping any ideas

That’s it then raw it is. Now just to strip it down. Shot blasters then have it lacquered

    ritchic

No mine only have rebound control that is all. I had heard about this before but not a clue what fits. If I’m honest I’d buy some fox or lyriks if I could find some 1 to buy my rebas an my domains

Does it have to be out of a domain or will any others fit. If it has to be domain will a 180mm travel go in a 160mm

I tried the putting it in the freezer idea. After a few weeks of doing this the plastic parts broke off as it made them really brittle( not a camalbak one though a dakine one)

It is true it maybe hard for few weeks but your legs will adapt unless you give in too easy an push everywhere

I have 36t and 11-36 rear. I have not ever had to push but grated I don’t live in high peaks. But also do think I do some decent climbing really.

Cheapest way I found is to just leave front mech on an get it as low as possible. Better tryin that to see if u like before spending money I find

I got my mortgage 2 years ago absolute nightmare. Been self employed for nearly 10 years. Halifax go by 3 years and average it out so 1 bad year can cause havoc. The mortgage company dealt with my accountant if I remember rightly though. Some other company’s I believe can average 5 years of books.
