Nor me never felt I compromise I got it to a point for seated peddling then left it an put my arse over the back tyre if I need to get lower than saddle

Me I don’t drop mine an I ride some quite steep techs stuff, drop offs, jumps I’ll pretty much point my bars down anything. But seat stays put 1 reason is I tried dropping it and I felt I lost some control as I tend to sometimes grip saddle with legs while standing for some reason

I haven’t got 1 I’ve thought About it but I seem to feel lost when I drop my seat down for the downhill bits. So I never drop it an it’s set reasonably high. I consider myself reasonably quick downhill but feel everyone must not be wrong having one. Did anybody feel they kind of used the saddle as something to push off/grip before they had a dropper. If so how do you find it now

Cheers dirty dog. I think it’s made my mind up. An north wind i just fancied a change don’t do uplift or go to the alps and thought I could possibly go smaller. But I never feel overbiked. I do ride quite hard and find the hardest stuff I can with big drop offs and stuff. So maybe I do use 160mm

I’m not really sure what’s different. And to be honest I really like my spicy just fancied a change. Maybe I should listen to the saying and if it’s not broke don’t fix it

O so it seems I can do it then. What advantages are there apposed to slime tubes as it seems weight won’t really be that different with all rime tape and slime in there

So project your dog that would attack other dogs an people as you found was still allowed off the lead when no dogs around. How about if a dog comes flying out of nowhere wanting to play with a child chasing after it. Then what. Very respectful dog owner you are. I think not

I just pulled all minis off my lapierre then used nail varnish remover on sticky stuff. Then polished it up after. No problem with paint coming off

Doesn’t help on the waterproof but I wear padded shorts underneath 1) they keep cold out more wen sitting in snow 2) they help not bruising all your hips and arse bones when crashing

But your crap on wet pebbles

It seems that the ideal surface is needed at Cannock now then “Tarmac”. Why are you looking for ideal surface that the whole point you go off road on a so called MTB so as to not be riding on perfection surely. I also think now over eyre forest they should start getting rid of all the mud an putting gravel down so it’s easier for us to go fast. That’s really what your saying. And Fwiw I ride a lapierre what a muppet I must be

Completely agree ST each to their own and not every one likes the same thing. I don’t go to Cannock very often as I prefer more natural trails. But you criticise places for having different obstacles to overcome. The only thing to criticise is yourself for not riding a trail as you find it.

Skill is probably the wrong word ability is suited better I think

Of course you do in a sense if you lack the skill to ride a bike then you would struggle

    ritchic

Golf chick it is your skill that limits you at Cannock. You lack the skill of being able to ride pebbles fast. That’s not a dig at you. I lack the skill to jump massive doubles but I’m not going to moan that they are there I’m just going to keep at it and eventually either land them or give up. But what I
Trying to say is it’s never terrain limiting you but your lack of skill at riding that terrain

Surely you go out riding and go different places for a variety of terrains and obstacles. Pebbles are Cannock, wyre forest mud, kinver is sandy, Hopton castle is full of roots but it’s not something to moan about is it you ride the terrain an push yourself on that terrain. You don’t go somewhere different expecting the same thing. Otherwise why bother. If you can’t ride pebbles fast keep going an practice on them. But MTB as there called are made for all terrains so get on an ride them all. Just my opinion

I’ve just had a MRI on my knee awaiting results and have first physio appointment in a week. But I’ve heard talk of hoovering it out (obviously the medical term) are you able to carry on as normal after this or is there a recovery period. Mine is down to a lot of kneeling at work and football on hard astro turf. I’m only 28 so quite worrying really. But seems I should be keeping them warm whilst out.

We’ll I’ve got 3 different shades of red 2 hope I superstar but I think that is because they fade differently. But IMO the superstar peddles I’ve got are more dark pink

I may be wrong but it comes across to me that all these “cheapo Chinese” haters are just annoyed with the fact that they have spent a fortune on a different light as it’s branded. And maybe still trying to justify it to themselves how much they have spent. Just my opinion

I agree I think it’s as there so cheap you expect to get problems and expect to have to sort those problems yourself. Where I suppose it’s maybe not the case

I ride a spicy. 160/160 and not ever felt like its over kill or struggled goin up you just get used to the best way to peddle it really I think. And I agree all about getting suspension set right once you have that’s it
