DMR made an adaptor to do just this and I happen to have one I don't need. I think I got it from CRC. Drop me a mail if you are interested

Thankfully no, but I do regularly fantasize about being chased. The adrenaline turns me into a riding god, able to jump stairs, bunnyhop walls and do huge drops. It always ends up with me getting away while my pursuers are left looking foolish and frustrated. Think, Smokey and the Bandit or Dukes of Hazzard but on bikes 🙂

Hopefully it will never happen as reality is more likely to dump me on my arse

I've been thinking about this for a while as well, might be difficeult for me to get 15 days freed up but I'm happy to help plan and see what I can do about work and family commitments.

The first one is SIM only and with the second one you get a phone. As for help try Money Saving Expert or comparisson sites.

You can get that Crumpler as a free gift with a sub to one of the DSLR mags for about £35, can't remeber which one though

The section that I look at less and less is the grinder. It now seems full of reviews padded out to fix the space rather than genuine feedback on something has faired over a reasonable period of time. How much really needs to be said about a tool to open your Camelbak and an emergency blanket? Can't the space for these odds and sods be cut down so more space can be given to products which justify comment?

I've done a couple of days with Freemotion on Gran Canaria, similar experience to the above, good guide, nice ride (top of mountain to the sea), nice bike etc.

I did the same a couple of years ago bleeding brakes. It stung like hell for a few minutes while I stumbled to the sink. I rinsed then under the running water for what felt like ages and everything was fine.

Also check for any discount codes for the stores on cashback websites and the like. I got £100 off a £600 plasma at JL though pricematch and buying JL vouchers online with a 6% discount on face value.

Yes you can take it at home, there are plenty of companies online who can check it for you and send you a print.

We used a sheet and laid the little one on the floor. The trickiest part was avoiding shadows so check your lighting out first. Ohh and be prepared to be patient getting the right shot.

I'd be up for a ride on 28/29 Nov or 4/5 Dec, Sheffield or Peaks.

For those interested in the http://www.sheffieldfridaynightride.org.uk/ group, I made it out for a ride with them in the summer. It was good fun, a really mixed group on all kinds of bikes. The route was mostly on road with a few woodland trails to link things up. Went from the city centre up to Wincobank to watch the sunset with a beer or champagne at the top of the hill. It took me through some bits of Sheffield I'd never seen before and the guy leading the ride had plenty of interesting bits of information on local history etc. Ended up at the Fat Cat for a couple of beers and then home. Nice way to spend a Friday evening.

I've recently picked up a 4x and am after a bit of suspension set up advice. Having come from a long travel hard tail I'm new to rear shock and despite palying around a bit having found a setting that feels just right.

Any tips on a good starting point would be helpful – RP23 with a 85kg rider. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Would like to join the ride but I'm up North so its a bit too far to travel. I'll keep my eye out for Hora in the Peaks though!

An 18 bikes or similar in Sheffield could do well. It would have to be well executed to really attract enough business from the existing shops. Certainly if it went for the linked cafe angle and had a social aspect – nights rides etc it would have a chance.

Worth searching on here for the thread about Parkwood springs as there was mention of a Steve Peat designed trail on the site (although a few years off). If the shop was located in the right place it could provide a great test ride loop possibly bike hire opportunities and be a real additional USP.

Plenty of options Wharncliffe and Peaks close by. I think I'm riding next Saturday so drop me a mail if you want to meet up for a ride.

Our 2 year old watched all of Ice Age 3 – it was me who was screaming to get out. She had a nice tub of home made popcorn to keep her happy. Depends on the childs attention span, mood on the day etc

On your original question – I've only seen the trailer but I though Up looked good. I think we are waiting for Where the wild things are for our next trip.

Daffy, have you got a new quote from M&S? My renewal was quite high so I got a quote off the website for a new policy and it was much cheaper – also got some cashback from Quidco I think.
