Another Bluefin owner here.  No expert but seems a very good board and the package we got came with a kayak seat which is great.

Clearcycle on eBay had loads of graded boards last year, ours had 2 marks on the deck but otherwise perfect. They regularly do 20%/25% off codes making them even more of a bargain

Excellent thread, just on with planning my bike storage and trying to decide if I go DIY or for the buller system.

They do a 6 hook set on 1.5m of track, can anyone advise if that gives enough space?  My option is to get a 3m track and cut down to fit my space.

Also do the buller system hooks rotate?

Ideally want to angle the bikes once hung

Also been looking at getting a board and overwhelmed by the choice. Does anyone have any views on the “body glove performer 11”. It is on offer at Costco until Sunday and seems to be a decent starter package.

Ragdale Hall near Melton Mowbray is great if you want to head south of Sheffield rather than north. Ye olde bell out near Retford is smaller but good for a day in the spa and overnight stay

Nonna’s worth a visit if you are after Italian. Others mentioned are all good options too

I’m in a similar position to the OP but a little further down the process. Have an opportunity to buy a nice 3 bed detached early Victorian house that need everything renovating. Expected a full strip back, new heating, rewire, some damp issues to sort etc. Has potential to go into loft and extend out back so could be a perfect family home. Just had detailed survey done and initial feedback is concerning, woodworm in ground floor beams and issues with damp apparently means the whole ground floor will need replacing, one of the chimney stacks is leaning and rotating so will need to come down as will a very odd looking and very small mid 20th century 2 story extension. All I can think of now is the film Money pit. Still hanging onto the dream but will reread this thread with my wife for a bit of realism. Lots of work to do just getting a sensible idea of what will that work will cost before we could start even thinking about extending

Got this on the switch, great game really nice vibe to it. Lots of lines to discover off the main tracks, occasionally I nail it, mostly I fall off the mountain to a bone crunching end

How does sketch up compare to something like sweet home 3d for ease of use?

Have the same need as the OP and had a brief go on sketch up and got the basics but it seemed quite a slow process. Maybe I just need to watch some tutorials and have a bit more patience?

Logging this thread for future reference as we are planning a similar project in 2021.

Our plan is to try and stay in our current house whilst doing a full renovation and extension on a new place. Sounds good in theory but I need to see if the bank will make this possible.

Have any of the serial renovators used bridging loans or had 2 mortgaged properties whilst doing a project?

For a few years I sat on the pension committee at my old company. One of our tasks was to determine how a pension should be allocated in cases like this where there was no expression of wish. We had a set of guidelines to apply and these included considering all of the known family members.

Could be the case that you have had a group of pension trustees or committee members arrive at this decision.

There is probably an appeals process that she might access but if that happens they should also contact you for a statement.

I remember a few of these decisions where family splits were laid bare and we had to make some difficult decisions.

Similar to others came to Sheffield over 20 years ago and stayed. Always felt like lots of connected communities or villages to me. Great riding from the door on the west side north and south. Plenty of creative culture both big and small going on all over the city.

My recommendation for a post ride thirst quencher is Schofferhofer Grapefruit Beer, at 2.5% has just enough relaxant for the leg burn.

Thornbridge zero five is also recommended

Old talent, every other website I visit works on the browsers I use why is STW the exception? Why should I have to change browsers when the rest of the Internet just works?

Another 20 pop ups blocked just making that post

Pops up back with a vengeance for me too. Had a period when they seemed to be sorted then yesterday every 5 mins or so I was like Charlie Sheen #winning. This morning chrome has blocked 25 pop ups as I searched out this thread. Android Chrome like most others suffering.

Doesn’t happen on any other website.

Also went on the desktop site through IE (I know) yesterday. What’s with that horrible drop down menu box that covers half the screen when you scroll back up through a thread? Another clunky mess that makes this forum such a pain to use now.

Pop ups are bad for me tonight. 10  minutes of fighting them to be able to read the rants, helpful feedback and excuses on this thread. I’m not a big contributor but have been a subscriber in the past and probably been on the forum daily for over 10 years. It is currently feeling like a pain full break up from a long term relationship, but in this situation it is you and not me, you just do communicate anymore. I don’t understand you and your lack of interest in my needs is redirecting my affections elsewhere.

Maybe we need to go to counseling but you have to want to listen to make it work. Call me when you are ready to talk..

Don’t leave it long can’t promise I’ll still be waiting

Another vote for Zojirushi, got one for my commute and have to cool my tea down before it goes in otherwise too hot to drink. Used it on hikes etc and keeps drinks hot for hours.

I think Amazon prime music is limited to one device, you need to get the family music unlimited to get it on multiple. I have it on my phone and linked echo dot but can’t get it on the kids fire tablets

Got a 3 and a 3T in our household. I would definitely buy again when I feel the need to upgrade. Fast, great battery life, good interpretation of android without loads of pointless apps or complicated interface. Stuck mine in an Otterbox from day one as I can be a bit clumsy phone has been dropped and knocked loads with no problems.

Off this weekend over the border into north Wales and the wife has a trip planned for the end of the month in the Peak. Keeping a weather watch on both, this weekend should by mostly dry, lest see what the end of the month brings.

Can anyone confirm the rear hub spacing, I assume it is 120mm?
Was hoping for 135 as I have a nice SD disc hub that would build up into a nice wheel for something like this

In the car, Android auto is pretty good. Simplified screen buttons and voice control make it easy to make calls, send and listen to messages, set navigation and play music.

I accidently kissed my mother in law on the lips at the weekend – now that is definitely an issue!

With kids, we’ve always kept it no lips, I guess pre-empting the issue arising as they grow older. We have had conversations a few times about it, explaining the difference between kisses on cheek and lips. They seem to get it, so a non-issue really.

Another vote for cadac safari chef. It’s in front of me right now, just done basic sausage and burger camp bbq. Will fire it up in the morning to cook some pastries on the pizza stone. Fits into a neat bag and can run of a cylinder or little cannisters.
