    Four words.

    Lunar Laser Ranging Experiment.

And then she can check for herself. Sure it’ll cost, but not much in the big scheme of things and what price truth?

Got a soft bikebag you can borrow. Live burnley, work Bury, e in profile if you need it. It’s a bit old and battered but usable.

Did Glastonbury twice with a sofa, once in 98 ( a very wet year) when it was so nice to ave somewhere to recover after a dat in the bog, and again the year after when it was also used to bring all manner of extras in it (the marchalls never stop to search a sofa laden with beer.

Love the idea of the DSLR but looking for something simpler to use. Looking to spend around £250. Not sure on the lens quality and mic quality on the compact camera type systems.

I was named after my grandad’s brother. He was shot down in a 214 Squadron Short Stirling in April 1943. Only one crew member survived.

Look at those Manitous! Fantastic. There’s more travel in the flippin’ tyres…

I’ve got a set of Pace Downhill forks in the garage. I know they’re the downhill ones because the travel is a a massive 75mm!

I love the fact that the three finalists are all from areas whose cuisine is generally considered by the rest of the country to consist of Greggs.

Surely you don’t need a whole homeopathy hospital, if you have one cupboard somewhere in the NHS marked homeopathy, that will be enough for the whole NHS, even if the cupboard is locked and empty?

Had a a seemingly innocent conversation about climbing tunes, that little loop of a song that goes around in your head in time with pedal strokes and breathing on a long climb.

At the start of the next climb gone 'It could be worse, you could be singing "Oh What An Atmosphere" by Russ Abbot' before riding off with a pre selected enjoyable climbing tune in your head.

My riding companions were singing Russ Abbot up every climb at Afan. Someone else even got stung by it a year later after being told about it.

It's the best and it's British too!
Made just down the road from me in Poole.

Actually it's marketed and distributed down the road in Poole, it's made in Lancashire. :-)

Advert for "Worship's Biggest Anthems" during the Richard Dawkins programme, and from HMV who were pushing the God Delusion last time I was in there. Awesome!

If you're getting the car from a dealer why not get them to qoute you? If it saves you money go for it and as it's a secured loan rather than a personal loan if you change the car or pay it off early you are in a better position. If it doesn't save you money don't take it and stick with what you have arranged already.

Whilst I may be on the Borders of where I don't know what I'm on about, PFI seemed like a solution to an artificial problem brought on by Resource Accounting and Budgeting which basically said that the treasury were going to charge departments more for funding capital projects than private finance was, despite this meaning they any large items ( hospitals, bridges, buildings, non-combat ships and aircraft) would have cost levied against them just for existing unless an oustide agency rented them to you. Like buying a car for cash but having to pay someone the interest you would have got if you had bought the car on the never never and put the cash in the bank.
Like that example you will always end up paying more borrowing the money than spending what you have.

Carbon Fibre fan blades? I thought that's what nearly did them in 1971 on the original RB211 programme.

I think it was old tyres and a lack of skill as much as anything but I'll be back. I missed that section when I rode it last week. I've used your map on both occasions so thanks for that, Chapeau to all the trail builders and contractors, Gisburn is up there with the best.

We seem to have a chilled one but still a great biking dog. They need to know who’s boss though, straight from the off. Ours came from a friend who is a breeder and sheep farmer and was one he had had returned as the previous owners couldn’t cope with her. She has been an absolute sweety with us though. She does, however, get bored and destroy thing sometimes :?
